We went to Narcoossees before the refurb and loved the food and service. We were disappointed when we returned after the refurb. Boring food and boring interior.
I agree, the renovation of Narcoossee's is a bit of a let down.
Plain gray walls. Like they put the primer on then thought, "We can stop here." And it was not well-illuminated. I don't recall being in another WDW restaurant that was as dimly lit as Narcoossees.

Narcoossee's was the big hit of our recent stay 2/02 - 2/10. After a couple of disappointing visits over the past few years, it was great. Our friends had never been so reluctantly DH made the reservation. Food was great…friends loved the Surf & Turf. Wine was good and service was much better than the last few times. We will be back.

Sorry you didn't enjoy. Depending on the seasonal menu changes it can be one of my favorites and it can also be just okay. Of course much of that is personal taste.
No longer go to California Grill nearly as often as I used to before they went prix fixe, but still an excellent meal, indeed. Just wish they'd bring back their brunch...

I thought the food and service at Narcoossee's were excellent. The only downside is that it was dark and noisy. Definitely not a place for a romantic dinner with that special one.
