Do you think Dining Plans and TiW ever return and if so when do anticipate they possibly might return. Also, do you think ADR's will ever return to 180 days.
I hope that TiW and 180 day ADR's will both return before our next trip to Walt Disney World in early 2024.

Disney has said that dining plans would return, but gave no time frame. I suspect that TiW is gone for good.

Disney might be giving us a hint with the dining card. I doubt TIW will return.
I hope they don't ever bring 180 days back personally. I see no need at all. Any issues booking has more to do with being understaffed than how far out it is.

We have been really successful in getting the ADR’s we want using Open Table. Even as late as a couple of weeks out. No cancellation fees either.

We have a trip scheduled for March. At the 60 day mark, DW was on Disney's site requesting ADRs for our trip. To her surprise, she had no issues getting all of our reservations without an issue. May not be places like CRT at the castle but Garden Grill, Teppen Edo, Tusker House, etc. With a sample size of 1 , seems to be much easier to get ADRs than in the past. I don't see TIW coming back. I will be happy to see if APs make a return since we let our lapse due to Covid.

DP - Yes but in a different form, like the Dining Cards they give travel groups and offered this summer with their specials. TIW - I doubt it. Right now no one is taking the "give more for less" business approach. ADR 180 - Also doubt it. 60 days is cleaner and Disney is in control of what they release when. I would love TIW, or any perk for DVC. I think we have to see how DVC sales do with so few perks. $30 off a late-night park ticket is not really a thing for me cuz I don't care if a night party is $150 or $120 if I'm already there all day.

I hope the DDP doesn't return. Unless you had kids and did several character buffets, it was almost never a savings, even with the "Free" Dining promotions. At best, if you optimized your restaurants and ordered the most expensive entree every time you could break even, and that took some work and "forced" you to order the most expensive thing even if it wasn't what you wanted to eat, just to make it "worth" it. Disney liked it because it was profitable for them. The restaurants didn't like it, and it put a lot of strain on the ADR system.
The dining card credit thing they are doing now is an improvement since there is a lot more flexibility to eat wherever you want. Don't know that it's any kind of deal or money saving thing given you need to pay full rack rate for the room to get it.

Another vote that Tables in Wonderland is unfortunately never returning, as much as I’d prefer its presence.

Gotta disagree on that - we loved the dining plan and felt it was an excellent value for adults , especially after they added cocktails… I get the complete opposite reaction and sticker shock and panic now. Prior to the shutdown we often did signature dining at 2 credits a pop almost daily each trip. My son and I pooped into Epcot (Canada) for dinner while he was in Tampa and the bill was $350 after the discount. while it may not be your kinda thing some of us enjoyed it quite a bit and hoping it returns…personally I prefer paying in advance and not having to deal with worrying if I budgeted enough.

Noreen99 I'm with you. Bring back the dining plan. I know we saved a bunch with it. Those that don't like it don't have to buy it.

I liked the CS dining plan. We don’t always want a table service every night, and some CS have really nice offerings. BUT, what would be the price now?

I think this is a better idea anyway. Never saw the point of the dining plan for me. I don't eat red meat. I don't drink and tips are never included. A prepaid gift card is better for most who want to prepay IMO anyway. Some were able to work the plan but most lost money in the end.

And I don’t want to feel like I have to eat at the CS/TS just because I paid for the plan. Ended up getting too many snacks to take home just to use the “unused credit”.

Even a family of 4 is gonna blow through that in less than a week.
