I need to make a point to book the Fantasmic Dining Package for our December trip. It has been a long, long time since we have seen the show. We tried last Christmas and literally a few minutes into the show, it abruptly stopped and it was canceled for the evening.

This skipper sounds interesting. Where can we find out more?

Yes, skipper has been great. We were hoping to stack up some LLs today @ MK, but 1) we slept late because of the after hours event last night 2) I forgot we can't book the 2nd one 'til we're at the park. After hours was great - we rode TT 2x and Rise 2x, also slinky & Toy Story Mania and MFSR. Grabbed some snacks at some point during the night as well. The place seemed empty! Dinner was at Sanaa last night - never disappoints. We don't know 1/2 the words on the menu, but we know we'll be happy with the bread service & the steak. One person ordered the pork shank, and said that was also good (but tried a bite of her husband's steak and said it was better).

This sounds like so much fun! Out anniversary is in June, so safe to say that we will never be anywhere near WDW (or, ideally, most of the east coast) on our anniversary Cheers.

Happy Anniversary! Glad you are having a great trip to celebrate! Thank you for sharing your experience with standby skipper, this was the first I had heard of it.

We had a good time at Magic Kingdom yesterday, again with many LL bookings. Dinner last night was Steakhouse 71, one of our favorites and a must for every trip. The steak was fantastic, and I had cheesecake for dessert - they are now doing seasonal flavors. Currently it's lemon & blueberry, which was very good. Although, if you had sat the plate in front of me and asked me to guess what it was by site, I never would have said cheesecake! It looked like a strip of something blue with lemon curd on top. Was very good! After, I decided to go back to the hotel, along with the dad from our friends. He has some back and leg issues, and my feet have not been happy on this trip! The rest of the crew went back to MK for a couple of late LL bookings. DW asked me to take the scooter back so she wouldn't have to worry with it in the park. The dad who came back with me, although suffering much worse than I, absolutely refused to ride the scooter for some reason, so I took it back. Somewhere along the way, my wife's minnie mouse visor fell out of the basket and so she was not happy with me this morning when we couldn't find it We had decided last night to have a short day today, so we booked ILL on FOP for this morning, and went to Tusker house for our breakfast reservation, then headed back to the room. Just took a quick nap and now I think we're about to head down to the pool for a bit. This trip was very busy the first part of the week, but toward the end has been much more relaxing, and I'm in favor of that! Even work hasn't been pestering me much this week, which is fantastic.

We must be on similar paths. We were at MK yesterday and AK today. Left at about 1pm though.

Tonight we watched the fireworks at MK & Epcot from our balcony: Also, several animals were having a rest on the savannah: This room was quite a hike from the elevators (DW counted 420 steps), but the views were quite nice.
