Agree with Food & Wine Events…that’s us at one of them in our photo. We miss them! I'd love to see Party for the Senses and the cooking demos return.
Cheers. Yes....Bring back the Party for the Senses and the demos!
Swan & Dolphin has continued to hold their dining event. I don't know why WDW has not brought back theirs?

I don’t think the original plans for the Festival Centre will ever return. They tore down Innoventions (Communicore) West for it, and then cut the budget. So what we have now is it. In any case the original plan -nicknamed “the bar stool on legs” by some - was going to be a more of a private /VIP entertainment venue, for invited guests, Club 33 etc. I’d like to see a couple of new rides in WS. Dust off the plans for Germany or Japan. Put a Pinocchio dark ride in Italy - they could clone the DLP one although it’s just like WTP but with better scenes. Or put in the dark ride that they considered for the UK initially. Alice, Brave, Bedknobs & Broomsticks, I’d take any of them at this point, but Brave would counter the current England centric theme. At some point they need to tackle Spaceship Earth, redo the track. But that’s a huge project. Getting the ride vehicles out is the biggest problem. Ultimately though I think Epcot goes to the back of the line now. I agree.....The Festival center is not an option.
I also agree that Epcot is last in line. Next up is Animal Kingdom, than back to Magic Kingdom.

I think it is fair to say that it ends this phase of expansion, the next would include whatever the 17B brings us. Personally I think numbering one on the list should be a ride befitting the character status that Figment has achieve. It is a disgrace to have such a Sh1tty ride for such a great character. Bring back Dream Finder if Dream Finder is as is rumored tied up in ownership then bring him back and call him Dream Weaver and use the song by Gary Wright. You are right.....That Pavilion has been utterly overlooked.
I have not heard any rumblings about adding anything more to Epcot.
I have heard some rumblings but nothing I would call earth shaking. As far as F&W goes, please make it back into a F&W festival instead of an excuse to add quick service booths. It was especially good when the dinner events were property wide and yes bring back the PFTS, doesn’t need to be every week.

The Play Pavilion saddens me the most. Just wasted space. The festival center I am indifferent to. Honestly UK as well because the proposed ride was not really interesting to me. Tea cups type rides are always meh at best. I know we're getting a redo on TT starting this month. While I'm okay with the redo coming, leaving the Wonders of Life Pavilion empty is almost a crime to me. These "redo's" just aren't cutting it for me. Test Track is always a crowd pleaser. Hopefully the new overlay will be better.
Taking down functioning rides and attractions is starting to wear on me. Yes! Though it was showing signs of needing love when we were there. But it kills me knowing they could have done Wonders of Life before and had that open while TT is being redone. I'm over that. It's so easy to see what happens when just one big ride is down there at Epcot. Soarin is inferior to the old. SSE had better iterations Let's not go into Journey They're missing the mark as a whole. I do adore the new SSE exterior and all the sync'd lighting but that's not enough.

Yeah, that is a disappointing announcement. I really wanted some sort of attraction added to UK. Well, really want one in every country in WS.
We dont' have little kids anymore, but we used to spend so much time in Innoventions. Both when my oldest son was little, he'd just go in there and play the games, but really a lot when the last 2 kids used to Piggy Bank Adventure, and that Firehouse game. It was a nice getaway from the heat/hustle and bustle. Not sure what all was planned for the Play pavilion, but might've been good for little ones.
The walls and redirects on spring break were awful! I had to walk so far one night to Soarin, and got turned around, that I missed riding it just before close. and trying to get from WS to the DVC lounge was a hike, as that walkway was blocked off. So, very glad at least all those walls are down. I'm looking forward to enjoying the Festival pavilion. One year, I finally treated myself to a few of the events, did them solo, a wine tasting, and a chef's presentation, then poof, those were gone. Maybe that'll come back.....

I was just sitting at the dinner table with my wife a couple days back and pictures had come out of the inside of the new Communicore building. I don't want to be the negative guy, but I fall in with the group of Epcot-lovers who say "Four years and umpteen million dollars, and they tore out the Fountain and an empty building, and replaced it with park benches and an empty building."

Yep, definitely not seeing anything else at Epcot before 2030. I’d say Imagination up next since they keep bringing back Figment and hinting about his home (at best). So guess that means my bet is the next major Epcot news is a redo of Imagination for Epcot’s 50th…
Hopefully they’ll appease many of us by restoring or even just adding some festival events in the meantime.

Maybe park reservations will be gone by Epcot's 50th. Hopefully that 50th celebration is better than the 40th. I like the changes to the main entrance of Epcot. It's a great place to sit with a coffee and people watch when we are peasants (day trippers) and watch families arrive. Beyond that like previous comments it was a lot of cash and walls for too long for not much.

I did hear this from a CM at Jambo. Disney has been working with a company to solve the water problems at DHS and MK when it rains. The flooding if you've seen pictures. It came up in conversation when I said there was no way I'd go to the park one day with looming rain due to downpours.

I am most disappointed that Spaceship Earth did not get the refurb that it desperately needs. Figment was not on the list, but it needs help too. I would love to see Dream Finder back. I have a picture taken in the 80's with Figment and Dream Finder by the leaping fountains.
Although the ride in the UK would have been nice. It would have eliminated the band, which we love.

I like the changes to the main entrance of Epcot. I was also thinking about how nice the walk into Epcot is, when we arrive from the busses. Wife likes the new music...I am stuck on the fact that it isn't "the" Epcot music.

Agree on SSE. When the progress of the history of technology ends with Steve Wozniak as a young man, there is serious need for an update.
Cheers.

You mean we're NOT getting a Festival Center? My understanding was that the Communicore was being torn down and rebuilt for that. So I had the dream that all the wonderful Food and Wine events-Party for the senses, cooking demos, etc., would come back when Communicore was finished and reopened. I was even holding out hope for F&W 2024. Guess the F&W is no more for me.

If they do have it going forward, I really think that that festival space near UK is still the best location. The new building seems too small and, AFAIK, that huge tent is still there. Holding out hope for 2025.
Cheers.
