Inside Out 2 had a strong week two at the box office. In the two weeks, the movie's worldwide total is $724 million.
With a production budget or $200 million and roughly a 3X multiplier, the Movie is a money maker! This will surely green light another sequel for the series.
I have not seen it yet. I am plan on seeing it on my DCL cruise in July.

It was good. Not great, but good.
Cheers.

Inside Out is my favorite movie that Disney or Pixar has ever made. It hit me so hard when I saw it in theater - I loved the themes, the colors, the score, all of it. I'm sure having an about-to-be four-year-old...and a four-month old...had a lot to do with that. But it's a true love I haven't let go, and probably never will.
Inside Out 2 isn't as good. But it's really, really good. I started crying with the first notes of the score - they bring back the familiar tune immediately, but it's in a lower key, and it's richer, there's more going on, just like there's more going on with Riley. And they're off and running from there.
My complaints are little...I missed the two 'original' voices that they re-cast, I felt half the plot was recycled (but the other half was superb), and of the four new emotions, I felt two were severely under-written.
If anyone's on the fence: Go see it. I really think you'll like it.

We saw it opening day. It was really, really good. I would not say better than the first but really good. Worth seeing on the big screen.

DD10 and I just saw it today. I really enjoyed it! DD says she likes it better than the original. The anxiety attack that Riley had at the end really gave me a lot of anxiety! I guess that means it was a good portrayal of the emotion.

It may be good but it still isn't enough to get me to the theater, I'll wait for Disney +.

It may be good but it still isn't enough to get me to the theater, I'll wait for Disney +. For us, it isn't about the quality of the movie, it's whether it needs the big screen. We have a recliner theatre with $9 Tuesdays and we have been going a lot...but only for "big" movies that need it. Wonka, Planet of the Apes, Bad Boys, Furiosa are recent ones. Something like this just doesn't need the big screen and 77" are sufficient.
We just got Inside Out 1 from the library and have to pick up and watch the disk. Then, when 2 is out and available at the library, we'll watch that.
Cheers.

Just saw Inside Out 1 on Blu-Ray from the library. Very cute, and we are now looking forward to seeing '2' as soon as the library can get it. Knowing Disney, something like a year or more Cheers.

‘Inside Out 2’ Is Now Pixar’s Biggest Movie Ever
May be behind a paywall. The gist is:
The animated film about a young teenage girl and her complex emotions has passed the $1.25 billion mark globally and is expected to keep growing.
Cheers.

Timing works well for us as a family for the Inside Out movies. DD was maybe 5ish when IO1 came out. She enjoyed it. We used some of the concepts from the movie to help her verbalize emotions. Now she's about the same age as Riley in IO2. So she enjoyed this second movie even more than the first one.
I probably like the 2nd movie better as well on first watch, but mostly because I enjoyed DD's pleased and snarky quietly whispered comments while watching IO2 in theater together last week.
IO1 may have been a stronger movie though. Original concept and all. The second one mostly just elaborated on the theme.
We may go see it a 2nd time in theater if schedules synch up with a friend and her 2 daughters. We will certainly watch it again multiple times when it hits Disney+.
