Who else has a drawer-full of the Disney VHS cassettes that were around for decades, in the matching white plastic boxes? I admire their tenacity, probably three or four decades of making those things look the same on the shelves. During the pandemic I took apart all of my VHS and cassette tapes. I recycled the paper and plastic and found a place that would take and recycle the metal tape. I had time on my hands working from home. No more tapes in this house, AFAIK.
Cheers.

I have a very few Disney VHS tapes, the ones I bought when they used to promote it that you had better buy this NOW, because it's going into the Vault, and you'll never have another chance to see it after that...... I am going to forever keep my Star Wars VHS tapes, since they are the only medium I have for the original theatrical versions, Han shot first, etc. We were just talking about this last weekend, watching Empire Strikes Back, and all of the extra stuff they added on Bespin, DH asked if I was ever going to watch them, and while we do still own a VCR, I told him no, they might get messed up/torn up...he laughted. So they will keep taking up space on the shelves. We have kept Disney+ for SW content, and just because DH found some long, extended deal. We may revisit this soon though, since they will likely be a lull in SW shows for a while. Although, DS did just start watching all those old Marvel shows that had been originally on Netflix, Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, Punisher, etc. so may just keep it for a bit longer.

Still have all my VHS tapes, both Disney and good, old fashioned movies. With the garbage that everyone is kicking out nowadays, nothing like popping in a tape and enjoying the non-stress of yesteryear.

Same with the disc player. It's sitting on the floor in the garage. I do. Got the VCR for my mom who maybe used it three, four times.
