I would not purchase any DVC if I had to finance - cash only for me at my old age.

The minimum is still there for add ons. Sometimes it's 50 but many resorts are 25. The discounts just don't start until 100 for add ons. This is good to know. I am not interested in big point purchases at this point in my life, but 25 here or there is easy to swing. Does it show somewhere the resorts that have small amount purchases?

Sage advice. All timeshares are a luxury, including DVC. If you have to finance it, you probably should not be buying it. But a lot of people live paycheck to paycheck and its the only way the can buy DVC.

I have never financed ours either. I know some do though and wanted to toss that out there. I remember doing a PVB add on and the guy was not used to the idea of not financing. Stuck me as odd. I did not keep him long since he kept pushing for financing. I do put it on our credit card for rewards but only when I have cash in hand.
