It looks like I'll be going to DL/CA in late August for one day.
Are there any quick service lunch spots in either park (we'll have park hopping) that are unique (not a repeat of quick service food in WDW)?

Instantly popped in my head was "Rancho del Zocalo" in DL, had some good meals there. Really like the decor. It's in an outdoor courtyard. I also remember wanting to eat at Flo's V8 Cafe but wife didn't want their menu at the time, but we sat on a bench outside and I drank a Racer 5 IPA while we watched Radiator Springs Racers zoom by, that's a good memory. I also used to like getting soup in a bread bowl at the Boudin bakery on the wharf, not sure if that's still a thing. I enjoyed the clam chowder as I recall.

There are quite a few quick service locations that are different from WDW. I believe all of the DCA locations are unique, as well as several of the DL and Downtown Disney locations. Perhaps a bit more information would be helpful. How quick do you want that quick service lunch? What type of food? Without narrowing it down, I'd just end up giving you a very long list of possibilities. If you download the DL app, you can look at all the locations and menus.

What we usually avoid in WDW are the burger/chicken finger places. We'll often leave the park and eat lunch at a resort in Disney Springs. We'll have one day, and a leisurely lunch is probably a good idea. We have a 5 PM dinner reservation at Jazz Kitchen.

If you are trying to avoid the "standard" fare, then here are a couple of suggestions: DL - Tiana's Palace (New Orleans style - though, you have reservations at Jazz Kitchen and I don't know if this also opened at WDW with the Splash Mountain redo), the meat skewers at Bengal BBQ (this would be really quick), Plaza Inn (quite tasty fried chicken) DCA - Pym Test Kitchen (food is good and atmosphere is unique), San Fransokyo area (multiple food vendors with a slight Japanese twist), Crazy Cone Motel area (several snack options), Lamplight Lounge (not the restaurant, but the outdoor bar area has a nice appetizer menu including the famed lobster nachos) Downtown Disney - Naples (but they have this at WDW), Din Tai Fung (hands down the best place for xiao long bao on the planet, I have not eaten at this particular location yet), Centrico (looks nice and is new but I have not had a chance to try it myself) Things you should strongly consider for snacks - churros (the best), popcorn (we don't like WDW popcorn because the humidity makes it less crunchy, not problem at DL), beignet (the best outside of New Orleans) Lastly - I know you are booked at Jazz Kitchen and that is fine, but that is also the problem. It is just fine at higher prices. If you have your heart set on it, stay with it. Otherwise, I wouldn't.

Slim pickings. The menu looks good so I figured we'd try it.
Available for dinner:
Cafe Orleans GCH Craftsman Bar Great Maple Hearthstone Lounge Naples (too similar to WDW Italian restaurants) Palm Breeze Bar Splitsville Storytellers

And, with the exception of Naples, the ones that are available are available for a reason. We have also had a lot of success of showing up for dinner right before 5PM. They are able to seat us >90% of the time. By 5:30PM, the success rate drops significantly.

We have eaten twice at Great Maple and enjoyed it. That and the Carthay Circle outdoor dining are our go-tos if the top tiers aren’t available.
Enjoyed a great burger and a good cocktail at Palm Breeze Bar…but it’s the breeze that will kill you. We had to move tables and ask for a blanket. It was early June.

Speaking of food and DL, we made a point one time of going to the Blue Bayou restaurant at Pirates. Got there early, wife asked if we could sit by the water and we were willing to wait. Sat by the water, watching the boats go by...childhood bucket list item, check. Neither of us were totally thrilled with the food but I don't care, I can get food anytime... I got to sit on the water at Blue Bayou in Disneyland, watching the pirate boats go by.

I'm stalking reservations; nothing so far.

We ate in the San Fransokyo area of DCA on our May trip, and all of us (party of 7) loved the food there. The stand out was the Beef Birria Ramen in my opinion, but we also enjoyed the Beef Bulgogi Burrito and the Chicken Teriyaki. In that same area, Aunt Cass Cafe. We picked up a baguette to take back to the hotel, and I got the Honey Lemon-Ade, and both were good. Pym's Test Kitchen is fun, and the food is good. The Quantum Pretzel is very shareable. Bengal BBQ in DL has good healthier options with their skewers.
Centrico in Downtown Disney is sit down. Again our entire party loved the food here. Service was very good as well.

A heavy soup in a Boudin's Bread Bowl is a SoCal Classic! Our current favorite is the Curry Beef at Aunt Cass Cafe, DCA. We ask for to have it prepared "deconstructed" so that the soup is in a regular bowl and the bread is kept clean for "dipping" and keeping the leftovers for the next morning's coffee.

I prefer the miso clam chowder. Great tip of getting it "deconstructed."
