How was your extended stay in Nassau? Did you still need to be on the ship like normal time? That was not our cruise. We leave tomorrow and return Friday. I kept on thinking that you were the weekend before us but as you’re getting off, we’re getting on. |

Freaking Tuesday just ahead… I don't know if I'm hopelessly optimistic, insane, or just foolish but every Monday morning I think "it's gotta be better than last Monday" and then sure enough I'm dealing with a 5-alarm dumpster fire before I can even finish my morning coffee.  |

Oh it most definitely was freaking Monday, indeed. Freaking Tuesday just ahead… I don't know if I'm hopelessly optimistic, insane, or just foolish but every Monday morning I think "it's gotta be better than last Monday" and then sure enough I'm dealing with a 5-alarm dumpster fire before I can even finish my morning coffee. I truly just love Mondays. I love life and Monday is just another day to love! |

True, but working in engineering supporting software issues from our worldwide customers for 20+ years where everyone wants the problem fixed before we're even aware of it, I have to be a sarcastic/pessimistic optimist. I expect or at least am not surprised by the worst but have to hope for the best to survive and remain somewhat sane, lol. (need that going-crazy-hair-pulling emoji here) |

(need that going-crazy-hair-pulling emoji here) When I was training (more like listing tasks) the women taking over I kept directing her to the portal instruction site, because if we got into details she kept saying 'IT should correct that', to which I just kept smilingly moving on thinking 'yeah, you're right but I haven't cared about this for the last few years and I'd rather deal with a disgruntled emp than IT'. HAHAHA Calling IT was like falling into a dark hole and I'd have to be in the midst of dumpster on fire to call. IT was so nice but the closer I got to retirement the more I 'guessed'. |

Hi Peeps  We (Sharon & I) had a good time on our first stay at SSR. Only stayed 3 days, first day dinner at O’hana (excellent as always) , 2 nd day Hollywood Studios 👍and Great Weather 🌞 , 3 rd day swim (SSR) and dinner at Disney Springs (Art Smith Homecoming 👍) …. We really liked SSR resort and rooms, But missed the monorail resorts (we always stayed there for past 35 + years) Here’s updated pix on construction of the Poly DVC Tower. It’s coming along Nicely      |

I don't want to do a trip report or anything, but got back from a 5-night trip at AKL last week. Had a great time. I heard on a Disney podcast recently that went through the "top 10 walks" at WDW and they mentioned the path between POR and POFQ. I had never been to either resort, so we decided to go over there for an afternoon/evening. I must say, it was beautiful. What a gorgeous place, and such a pleasant walk. Went to the Scat Cat Club after and watched a live jazz band while we had some Mickey beignets.
Never been to AKL, and it was about what I expected. Nice place, but ultimately not for me. I'm not an animal person and the decor/style of the place just wasn't my aesthetic. Glad I went, though, as I want to experience all of the DVC resorts eventually. Here are the ones I have left: - CCV - BCV - VGF - RIV - VB - HHI - New Disneyland Tower When at AKL, I stayed at Jambo House. Since the place didn't appeal to me, I probably won't make a point of going to Kidani Village even though it's technically separate from Jambo from a DVC perspective. I know this is inconsistent with keeping CCV on my list even though I've already been to BRV, but hey, I *really* like WL so I'm fine with that lol. |

My first trip as an adult-age person with my wife, we stayed at POR so I have a soft spot for it. And Scat Cat club is pretty cool. And the scenery is great. We try to go visit once in a while from our home at OKW.
