Happy Independence Day to all! Was off Monday, worked freaking Tuesday. Freaking Wednesday ahead…. with auditors on top. How could you be off Monday and work Tuesday, July 4th - it's like you work in healthcare? I worked in healthcare for 23 years and was so happy to move to education. Auditors! OMG, another reason to be happy I'm not in the office pulling a crap load of files and justifying why employees were compensated for this or that or, my favorite, why the business CC was used for the purchase of a refrigerator for the copy room.

Hope everyone had a great 4th. The better half ate 5 Nathan's hot dogs loaded with coleslaw in a nod to the Nathan's Hot Dog Eating Contest. He was so downcast the contest was in a weather delay and then thrilled when in went off at 2p. Nut ball.

He was so downcast the contest was in a weather delay and then thrilled when in went off at 2p. Nut ball. We watched this yesterday as Bill's team mate from his Ormond Beach pizza challenge had a wild card spot. Joey...first one introduced. The guy is ripped too. (Bill's life long hobby is lifting, former powerlifter). He showed off his abs! Bill isn't into speed eating, just quantities. There is a difference...who knew? He did, but not me. It was fun watching it because we knew someone who was in it. He was 2nd to last, but what an amazing experience and he was given some great swag to wear. He qualified by going to a place in Tampa and then did get the wild card spot. I probably have half of that wrong, but I think that's right. Bill said he'd never get in with only 20 dogs in a normal year, but he did this year. He is a very nice man and has an understanding wife and two very cute kids. Bill was cheering for different eaters yesterday that he follows on Instagram and Youtube. I recognized a couple people too. He was cheering for the ones who have replied back to him in his armature endeavors with food challenges. The excitement he had yesterday for this event was what he has for going on DCL which makes me happy so we will keep going on those! The rain delay was a bummer! Going to food challenges is far better than going to powerlifting meets! For length, they rivaled track meets! He competed in drug free meets back in college and in our early years of marriage. I competed once in college...that was enough! I'll take food challenges instead as an observer and that's it. We have found some great places to eat.

You know what, in this day and age, how f-ing hard is it to have your menu online (local restaurant, part of a chain, okay it's Perkins) without having to jump through all these damn hoops? I get so mad, it's other places too, you're on a road trip and you say "hey look at that place, what kind of stuff do they have?" and you go to their thing and click "Menu" and all it wants is for you to start an order and put in your zip code and find locations and choose delivery or pickup....grr just show me the menu!
Some might say, just start an order and then don't make the order. Or view the menu on google or something. Okay, to which I reply, why can't they show me the damn menu, I know each and every Perkins in the world has the same menu. Just show me the menu! Then I say, okay fine, I'll play your game, Perkins says "Find a location near you! enter zip code" Yeah my town has only four zips codes, I put in mine and it says "no locations near you." Whatever - they are literally just down the street. So I go okay, I put in the zip code for where it is. "No locations near you." Okay...I click the "use my location" thing, "No locations near you." Fine, I pop open another window and cut and paste their address into their search bar. "No locations near you."
I'm eating somewhere else. Checkmate

Definitely should be easier to see without starting an order.

Agree, getting to menus can be tricky. I know Disney mobile ordering well enough to see what’s there, but other sites I don’t and they typically aren’t accurate either especially these days. Society depends on IT so much and as the users it’s not great most of the time. As a shopper in the store, I hate it when they rearrange things. Drives me nuts. In the IT world, when they change websites for billing or when a medical facility or doctor changes their portals it’s much worse. I especially hate it when Bill’s credit card log in goes to a different website than mine for the same bank when they are testing a new web design. Disney hasn’t cornered the market on crappy IT either.
