Not really from a yardsale, but I was in my garage and opened up a storage tote and saw these. The first one says 1990, there is a pic of both front and back for your viewing pleasure; the second says 1993. That second one has chew marks on it because for a while my sister had a chinchilla for a pet, and that guy's mission was to chew everything up. This brings back memories! We use to get the Disney Dollars when we rented a stroller each time we were there. That was in the early 90's!

My kid has a Disney dollar or two somewhere. I need to find it. I have very little of anything old except receipts. Those are fascinating to me anyway.

I miss Disney Dollars. I used to put those in the kids Easter eggs! Pretty sure they spent all of them.

So, not a "yardsale find" but this is where I have been posting vintage memorabilia. Saw this magnet on a recent trip and I laughed, I said "oh god i have to get this." And I put it next to the vintage comic book handed out to me when I was 10. Awesome! And now I have the theme song to "Universe of Energy" in my head.

Your mention of it made the theme song pop into my head. Great find!

The tooth fairy also had a supply of Disney Dollars to tuck under the pillow .
My collection of post cards …Disney Resorts would include a postcard in the desk drawer that was a photo keepsake picture of the beautiful location . I wish they still did that It was a nice surprise !

Found this! Actually I think I have another one somewhere. I had given this one to my wife many years ago and it did duty on her desk at work, holding pens and stuff. It came out of a box this last weekend and I had forgotten all about it! I'm sure some of you have seen these cups before, maybe not with Figment. But there is water (or some other liquid, like mercury or liquid hydrogen or rum) and the glitter and little plastic Figment heads float around. In the time since the late 1980s / early 1990s, that liquid has disappeared. I'd love to bring it back! I can see a little plastic "plug" on the bottom, where after the cup was filled, a plug was inserted and glued or perhaps just hot molten plastic was injected and when it cooled, it was sealed up permanently. I think I might be able to drill that out, carefully pour distilled water in there, then I'm thinking about options for plugging it. Simple would be hot glue, but I'm not convinced that will be good enough. Epoxy could work maybe. I dunno.

We love Figment. Never saw that cup before and wish we had one. If you come across a time machine, I think we would all enjoy a trip back to Epcot in the '80s.

I was digging through some storage boxes in the garage, and came across one that clearly held some of the things that I had pinned to my walls in my youth. I found this: This, I most likely bought in 1987 or 88. That, my friends, is a bumper sticker. No, I did not have a car then. I showed wife, then I said "and here's something you'll never see again - " I flipped it over and the price tag on the back: 49 cents.
