I'm confused. It's a soft good refurb, but they're doing the murphy bed? Isn't BLT up for a full refurb this year? I hope they do the murphy beds there too. Ok I'm an idiot, apparently. DH (who works in hotels) just informed me that beds are considered soft goods. |

Agreed - I'm fully on Team Theme
I can't wait til the hard refurb at BWV is done as well - Murphy beds are 1000x better than the sofa beds
Agree the Murphy bed is so much better. When will they be adding these to BWV? Will they be putting them in the 1bd living rooms in addition to the studios? |

It seems the sofa beds are being replaced during the next refurb, whether soft goods or a full. The Poly only had a soft goods refurb but had the Murphy beds installed. I think they must have a contract now and are just replacing them all asap. They must have a supplier of 6k of them - good times for that company! edit: I see other replies now! I didn’t realise that about sofas / beds. |

My son agrees with you on the murphy beds! We have an air mattress in our owner's locker because the couches are so bad. We don't stay at BCV much because it's so hard to get in at 7 months, but we lucked out with a couple of days before our cruise in early June - he'll be very happy to know they should have a murphy bed. I was wondering about the progress, because I had heard they were going to start in January, but this is the first I've seen about it - normally there are articles that pop up somewhere about construction. |

It’s posted on the Disney resort page, although the Disney Food Blog clearly didn’t read it properly because they reported that the regular rooms at BC were being worked on. I think it started without a great fanfare and took people by surprise. Maybe because the work at the Boardwalk was being talked about so much? |

VGF & PVB recently both received soft goods refurbishments and they got the new murphy beds. BLT is due for a full refurbishment in 2024. The plan is to put the new murphy beds in all resorts, BUT I don't see how they will be able to do OKW because of all the windows where the sofa is located. |

Reports suggest the 4th floor is complete. Lots of housekeeping equipment along the hallways, so should be close to being open.
2 floors done in around 5 or 6 weeks. Ticking along nicely and appears to be on track for an end of April completion.

Does a soft refurb include the Queen bed mattress as well? I was at BCV last week in 2112 and that mattress was really too soft.
4th floor was closed for construction and laundry is somewhere on 1st floor.

Just grabbed a 1 bedroom at Beach Club for March 24 - Never stayed on DVC side. Is there a particular room # I should request at Beach Club 1 bedroom? Thanks in advance!
