May have already been discussed here…will the current BWV refurb include installing murphy beds?

Nothing confirmed afaik but very sure they will. Only OKW will be problematic unless they remove some windows.

I’m sure it was said at the Condo meeting in either 2021 or 2022 that the Murphy beds would be replacing sofa beds in all the DVC resorts.
OKW will be a problem, and I’ve seen it said that it will also be an issue at one of the non-WDW resorts.

How bad are the sofa beds in the BWV one bedrooms for an adult?
My sister in law will be joining us next month and I'm trying to figure out if she and I will still be friends after the trip.

They can be very bad. Our last one was bent and was only really sleepable on one side. Fortunately only one person was sleeping on it and a smaller kid at the time. |

There is a rather large blank wall where the sleeper chair sits. They could put a pull down Murphy bed that looks like a built-in wall unit. Ditch the horribly uncomfortable pull out couch with a real sofa. I do love the windows at OKW and hope they don’t touch them. |

I don’t think that wall is wide enough for a queen, it would have to be a double. And unless they remodel the kitchen, when the bed was pulled down it would completely block the way out of the room. I don’t think it would be enough to remove the divider unit that houses the TV either, because the “doorway” would still be blocked. The sleeper chair works because it can be angled into the room instead of being flush with the wall. And since a wall bed requires a solid wall they can’t easily just put up a false wall to create the required angle. I hate to say it but I think OKW is just not suitable for them, without getting rid of the side window. |

Even BRV apparently had issues on some 5th floor rooms. |

I know this was a BWV refurb question, however, OKW was mentioned for Murphy beds. I would love if they changed the studios to a Murphy bed and a queen bed instead of two queen beds as is now the case. Having a sofa to sit on would be great.
