I've done both the pre and seated options and loved them both but really loved the seats after a long day at the park. It was extra great the one time a monsoon broke out mid-show. The last time we did a dessert party, we ended up sitting on the lawn with a group from a medical supply company. Their boss had brought his staff and their families out to the park and paid for the dessert party for everyone. One of the wives mistook me for an employee and started chatting. We had a good laugh over the misunderstand, and Tim and I were welcomed into the group. So much fun! I don’t think I would enjoy the vantage point from the terrace, though chairs would be nice! Before sesert parties took over we would watch from there in the park. It's not bad at all. Could catch the MSEP decently too. Really decent vantage for the fireworks though. I also prefer to watch the fireworks from a resort. That way we can relax and enjoy them vs. fighting crowds. Same! I watch either from ferries/boats or the resort/room. Kid caught them from TTC which was good too per him.

Before, we would get there about 75-90 min early, get ice cream, and people watch. Now, we still get there early to get front row seats. The lack of urgency when going to the parks is an unwritten DVC perk.

Back in the day DVC used to randomly choose DVC members to sail for free on these dessert party cruises. We were chosen and it was a lot of fun. Would I pay for it? No.

They should have 2 prices - one for with alcohol and one without. It's unfair to non-drinkers to have to pay full price.
