FWIW, I think right now DVC is flooded with inventory and are telling the sales people to start cold calling. Watched a YouTube last night and Disney has not ROFR’d in almost 3 months. With DLH and the new Poly2 about to enter into the already flooded inventory, I think we all may be hearing from our guides sooner then later. Like I said on another thread got my call last week. AK 200pts @ $143 a point. I have also heard some resale have gone through @$100 a point for AK. Also looks like SSR and OKW are having discounts also. |

In the end, I know that this is just a sales person, and that's what the relationship is based upon. As long as they basically leave me alone, I can likely tolerate having a dedicated timeshare sales person.

My original guide answered 10 years of questions from me before I actually made the purchase. She was patient, didn’t bother me other than an occasional call when there was a deal and I made sure she got credit for every point I have. When she retired, I was assigned a new guide located in Aulani (or so she says). This relationship consists of “Welcome Home” calls and the occasional flyer. I’m happy with that. Is it Andrea? |

My original guide answered 10 years of questions from me before I actually made the purchase. She was patient, didn’t bother me other than an occasional call when there was a deal and I made sure she got credit for every point I have. When she retired, I was assigned a new guide located in Aulani (or so she says). This relationship consists of “Welcome Home” calls and the occasional flyer. I’m happy with that. Is it Andrea? Yes. She’s my current guide. Low to no pressure. My former guide was Celeste. |

This thread got me thinking about who we may have as a guide now. Emails from DVC used to note who the guide was, but I don't see it on the one received today. Just looked on member website and didn't readily see it there either. I think Humberto left, but frankly I don't really know.

Yes. She’s my current guide. Low to no pressure. My former guide was Celeste. She is great. We visited Aulani over the Christmas and she was off but she made sure we had good information on what to do and to tell them when we stopped by it that she was our guide. She has been great. Like you said, low to no pressure. I feel like all her years of remaining in the wings paid off. We didn’t buy a lot of points but still. |

This thread got me thinking about who we may have as a guide now. Emails from DVC used to note who the guide was, but I don't see it on the one received today. Just looked on member website and didn't readily see it there either. I think Humberto left, but frankly I don't really know. We received an email recently to let us know that our guide was no longer with DVC. DVC emails prior to that would have his name in the bottom info but now there's no name and I'm guessing we won't get a new "assigned" guide unless we reach out to add on points (not likely to happen anytime in the near future). Our guide had never reached out to us directly which was fine by us though I'm guessing it was most likely because we only just bought direct in 2021 (after buying resale and first becoming members in 2020) so it was too soon to reach out unsolicited, especially since we bought direct which got him assigned as our guide and then reached out 5 months later to buy a small add-on so we gave him two sales without even having to engage us.  |

We did a small add-on last year using someone recommended here.Perhaps he left and that's why, after all these years, someone was assigned.

A few weeks back I left a message for my guide. Told him I was interested in VDH BUT if they were to be restricted points, don’t bother getting back to me and I will wait for Poly2. That was about 4 weeks again and haven’t heard from him at all……hmmmmm

Maybe a casual DVC owner who doesn't keep up would be same as them, but as a whole many new really stink. Most are super nice though. |

I just got the call from my new guide, who is located in CA. We heard from our prior guide from time to time, but it has probably been more than 10 years!

I had one for years and they weren't helpful. After the pandemic my guide left Disney. I was assigned a new guide out of CA when I purchased an add on at the new VGF. About 2 months later she got promoted! So, now I don't have one and don't really care!

Had a call from some guide and he left a message. While the message was general, but I think he was trying to sell me Disneyland. He must not have really looked at my account and noted that I have just sold 6 of my 9 contracts.
