We had seen "Knives Out 2" streaming and enjoyed it. Now we have "Knives Out" coming on disk in the waning days of Netflix disk. We managed to see the first "Knives Out" in the theaters and had a lot of fun. I think it's a way better movie than the second one, I'm interested to hear what you think. |

Went and saw "A Haunting in Venice" today at the theater. Thought it was great.

I actually liked the second one a fair bit. I would almost consider them even in my mind because I also liked the first one. I enjoyed the cast in '2." Edward Norton, Dave Bautista, Kate Hudson, Janelle Monáe.

Some upcoming throwback movies for us:
Later this month is the 45th anniversary of "The Last Waltz." Fabulous movie about the closing of Winterland in San Francisco and The Band's last concert. Some great appearances by both Neils (Your and Diamond), Van Morrison and others. Directed by Scorsese.
And The Talking Heads' "Stop Making Sense" has been released in IMAX.

We started watching Lioness, one of the Taylor Sheridan shows. It's currently streaming new episodes. It's gritty - so wouldn't watch with young kids around.

We saw My Big Fat Greek Wedding 3 yesterday. Not a bad storyline, fairly entertaining, and a good movie about family life.

We are giving in to Barbie.
We had come around to wanting to see it, specifically after hearing that they have great music, including the Indigo Girls, in the soundtrack.
Well, the Tech Museum in San Jose will be showing Barbie in IMAX. So we have tickets for next week.

Just saw "Superpower" on Paramount+.
Basically Sean Penn's visits to Ukraine before, at the beginning of, and during the invasion. He was on the ground and talking with Zelensky as it was happening.
I am not the biggest fan of Sean Penn, but this was riveting and well worth watching.

LOL I am really excited to see Barbie. I just saw John Wick 4… meh. Well, mrs. brp found an Aloha shirt from one of our New Orleans Jazz Fest visits that has a good bit of pink. So that's the shirt. I liked John Wick 4 (more red than pink  ) but definitely a decline from some of the earlier movies. Too much focus on body count and weaker on plot than usual. Cheers. |

I swear they are building a Resort that looks like a Cruise Ship on land …
And Chic-Fi-La and a new 7-11 has opened and they are BIG enough to service charter busses !
Also plans have leaked online with a new guessing game to play:
“Looks like a new transportation system .”

This is an uber-IMAX in a dome with wraparound (overhead) screen. Phenomenal setup.
And this movie is quite a bit more than I expected. Not at all a fluff piece, but a serious statement very well done. Kudos to Greta Gertwig.
