We tried watching Acolyte recently. I could not get past the first episode; I've seen fan fics with better acting for Star Wars. Comment about it being better animated strikes me a 100% right. Now we are trying Andor. That's better; I watched the first episode and am curious to see what happens next. I hope you like Andor. It is my favorite Star Wars show/anything since Empire Strikes Back. I loved it. It's probably even in my top 10 tv shows ever. or close. Acolyte.. try to keep going. I didn't like the first episode much at all, like grading it a C-, if that. the second one was somewhat better. I found Ep 3 interesting, many didn't. Ep 4, bad until the last few mins/end scene. Ep 5 was great, and most of Ep 6 was great too. There is one reeeeeeallly cool character. Main acting is still terrible, clunky dialogue, clunky direction. and choppy editing... BUT I'm very, very intrigued by the Jedi stories, various ideas of the Force, and I'll just say, 'the villain...' . They are very interesting, and different, I just ignore the stupid stuff, and focus on what is good. It gets better. But it's nothing at all like Andor. I'm trying to become more familiar with Wolverine, before Deadpool/Wolverine comes out. He was not at all a character I was interested in, and didn't see his stand along movies. So watched THe Wolverine this week, and started Logan. |

Anyone watching anything good?
We all went to the movies opening night to see Deadpool and Wolverine. We hadn't all been to a movie together since a couple years back, so that was nice. I hadn't been in over a year. We didnt' even have an AMC popcorn bucket for this year!
It was HILARIOUS!! Loved it. I'd see it again, now that I know more about some of the cameos, etc. I have never read comic books, so unfamiliar with several the characters. Had seen the old X-Men movies from the 90s, early 2000s, so that helped, but sure didn't remember a lot. I don't think one needs to know all the deep cuts, but it helps with the jokes. DS hasn't seen any of them, only the first 2 Deadpools, and he enjoyed it a lot.It well earned its R rating with language for sure.
FInished Acolyte.....overall I'd give it a C, or maybe a C+, just for Manny Jacinto's acting/role.
Resubscribed to Max for a few weeks, so DH could catch up on House/Dragon. I'm not watching that. But did see Hacks had a new season. That show is really good. I've loved Jean Smart since Designing Women, and she's great in it.
Saw Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman on Hot Ones, show where all these celebrities do interviews while eating hot wings, hot sauce....totally addicted. I don't know why it's so hilarious to watch all these actors put themselves in those positions. It's so funny. Those 2 were great, but have found so many funny ones; Mellissa McCarthy, Gordon Ramsey, Paul Ruud, Idris Elba, Kevin Hart, etc, etc. Anyway, complete time waster, but nice for background noise....

Wife pulls up episodes of "Chopped" quite a bit, I watch some of them because it's fun watching how these guys think.
Tonight, as I pulled together dinner (for myself, wife had something else) I could only hear Ted's voice in my head:
Tonight's basket is:
Week-old "fresh" salsa;
a can of mis-labeled beans;
old tortilla chips;
and expired cheese.
Your time starts now!
Okay, okay, you are right, too easy. Everything went together. I should have thrown in some crazy stuff for fun. Like the old fresh salsa, beans, deviled eggs, and braunschweiger. Or an apple maybe - beans, deviled eggs, and braunschweiger are too similar.

I am still watching “ Outlaws” on Prime. It’s getting funnier the more I watch it. Just love Christopher Walken!
I am having a hard time finding something to watch. Resorting to “ 60 Days In”….I digress……LOL

My nephews/nieces are really into Hot Ones, I need to check it out. My kids on a recommendation from friends watched the 1st Descendents movie last night. It was pretty good and entertaining even for adults. It had a fun remix of Be our Guest... |

Deadpool & Wolverine. Ryan Reynolds can do no wrong. And Hugh Jackman, well, 'nuff said. This film is brilliant, funny and rude. Everything you'd expect from Deadpool. The references to the fact that it is a movie, to Disney, Fox, Marvel are great as are the cameos.

Some seasons certainly better than others, but I am a big Umbrella Academy fan. I was, but season 3 was just really bad and disjointed. They had a good idea and did nothing with it. The reviews I've seen of season 4 say it's more of the same, if even to that level. We'll still watch, but expectations are low. I like most of the characters, but the storyline is lame, at best, at this point.
