Does anyone have any photos of the BCV soft goods refurb that started this past January? Searched online and didn’t see anything.

I have pictures of the studio. We got back a few days ago. Forgot how to post pictures - will try a search here  Tried to add - file too big. This was my problem when I was looking to add avatar picture and finally found a little one. |

We check into BCV in about 5 weeks. Was really hoping for a refurbished room because the old couches are so uncomfortable to sit on. Not about to play the silly game of requesting upper floors because everyone else is doing that. Maybe they will be finished sometime next year.
Now hoping BLT will be done in early September because we may be expecting people to sleep in the living room.

I assume you mean Sept 2024 for Bay Lake, the schedule was pushed back in the timeline they gave at December’s condo meeting. I don’t see that you have anything to lose by requesting an upper floor at BCV though. |

Bay Lake was just given as 2024, no other details. The resorts for 2023 were listed as: BCV (soft goods) HHI (full) BWV (full) VB (soft goods) and then BLT (full) as 2024. That was as far as they went. The next one after Bay Lake should be AKL I think. |

There was a permit filed today for “general construction” at BCV. It suggests the refurb might be re-starting sometime soon.

Unfortunately, what that video did was show me how totally homogenized the Disney resorts have become. Except for the resort picture behind the murphy bed, that video could have been from any of 3 different DVC resorts I've stayed in in the last couple of years. What happened to the individual resort theming? I guess I never saw it so clearly until now.

Agree, I saw pictures previously. It reminds me of a well appointed assisted living residence.

Very vanilla. Still probably my very favorite resort for the location. The pull down Murphy bed in the living room is great although I wish it was bigger like the one at SSR with the ottoman. I just hope the actual sofa is more comfortable to sit on than the old one it replaced.
