$53 for waffles, bacon, eggs and stuff even with characters feels like a lot. I am grateful breakfasts are returning though. Epcot had nothing for far too long!

For $53 we can get fixin's at Publix and have breakfast for both of us for like 5 days. And I'm more of a character than needed (just ask mrs. brp) Cheers.

I know you pay for the experience partially. I would rather at a resort if I didn't have my own food. Over spring break, my dad and spouse showed up for a while and I wound up joining them for breakfast (even though I had bagel & PB for me, just saved it for dinner). There were some pretty good wraps and a French toast strata at SSR. I was pleased. Even WCC breakfasts were better priced for the skillets. We did that for lunch but had brunch foods. But again experiences with the princesses. I'm sure many will be thrilled. I will simply because it gives people options and helps spread crowds.

Oh, I agree completely. When our now-in-college niece was 4 (am I really that old?) we did CRT for breakfast and it was simply magical for all of us We did Akershus as well and both the food and experience were sub-par, by contrast. Certainly likely to have changed in all that time. Although, if they had real lutefisk, it could be that old )
Cheers.

There is not one character meal we paid for that I regret doing. Yes, they are expensive, but … I don’t have to list all the reasons I just don’t care I will add though…characters are DD’s thing so there is that piece of it too. I remember when she wanted to see Ariel with legs.

Yes! For us it was Crystal Palace... so magical for us all. I did Akershus with no characters. One and done. Food was meh. That was before I knew my food issues too so I tried everything. I remember when she wanted to see Ariel with legs. You have to do what you love! Buffets are insanely hard on me and that does play in to things. We prefer different interactions now. My kid likes watching little kids with characters so meals are easy to pass up. When he loved characters it was different. Now? He wats more unique food places so we do that. WCC too... he loves watching families there. You do what you love! Just felt compared to garden Grill the price was high. But those princesses are in demand

But those princesses are in demand DD is 30 in May...she'll never change with characters! Yup, the princesses are more too that is for sure. CP is still my favorite. I will say that one of my favorite memories was having lunch with her in the Castle looking out the window overlooking Fantasyland, but I don't think you can dine there anymore without characters which is a major bummer. No question, it's about making money with those too. DD will have to make some tough choices for our September family trip since it's only 3 days and it will have been over a year since she's been to Disney. I know we'll do H&V so we can see Fantasmic! but besides that...it will be interesting. I've never eaten at Garden Grill since all my food issues started and the character meals with buffets were out. That's one reason why I said I don't regret doing them. From 2010 until 2022 I couldn't/wouldn't do character meals. Garden Grill is on the list for summer for us though!

Akershus was never a big draw for us. Princesses are great, but the steep cost was too much for breakfast. Back in the day lots of ppl booked Akershus to get in the park early and in line to meet Anna & Elsa. That kind of justified the price since you were paying the premium to get in the park before everyone else.

Cheers.

When I did this with DD, Anna & Else were not there either. DD and DH did the dessert party on the Liberty Belle to meet Tiana and she wasn’t in the park yet. It was fun for them and they had a great view of the parade. I’d sit out of the character stuff and find something else to do.

I'd totally do it for brunch.

She loves GG too.
