Just like the OKW extension was a one off, this is how I feel about the Copper Creak/Boulder Ridge arrangement. The gap between that at addition of Copper Creek was too large. The phase 1 of the DVC Poly was in 2015.....nine years difference.  Same timeline as VGF. If it were longer like CCV/BRV I'd jump with separate 100% |

Expiration dates of new resorts are not worth arguing. It does not matter if its 50 years or 38 years (looking at you Aulani). I bought my first contract in 2006. In 2006, I was 40 years old and I bought SSR. The resort expires in 2054 and I will 88 years old. Fingers crossed that in 2054 I am still alive, healthy and still able to afford to travel to Disney World. Most people buying into DVC for the first time are between 30-40 years old, with children 5-12 years old. The average length of a timeshare ownership is 7 years. I think DVC skews a little longer because of kids. Exactly! Said the same yesterday. |

With Poly, this actually feels more like fulfilling the initially promised package (Kind of like if the Banthas suddenly appeared at GE...) It should definitely be part of the same resort. Now, that's just my opinion, and it doesn't count for a hill of beans. But that's my .02. |

With Poly, this actually feels more like fulfilling the initially promised package (Kind of like if the Banthas suddenly appeared at GE...) It should definitely be part of the same resort. Now, that's just my opinion, and it doesn't count for a hill of beans. But that's my .02. Disney had said way back in the beginning, that there would be a phase 2.
If I only had access to the old site and find those Tikiman threads.

The original DVC plans for the Poly were nice....I actually wanted to buy at the resort. Then DVC back tracked and revised the resort and took out the things I had liked.

He is still around on FB. I wonder if he has easy access to old info like that I admit I totally bought for sentimental reasons. That and had the cash laying around lol. But I had to think before I did. 2 connecting studios worked for us for a while. Now it's only for smaller trips at the moment with either just 1 or 2 of us. |

Now it's only for smaller trips at the moment with either just 1 or 2 of us. And that is one of the best aspects of DVC, the Flexibility to change room types and change resorts. None of my other timeshares comes even close to this ease of use. |

And knowing where you are in your Disney travel phase, it will change 2 or 3 more times.

For what its worth, I called my DVC rep to add on some PVB points today, and he said without saying it outright that he thinks the new build will be part of the existing resort. He couldn't come out and say it but gave the reasons this build is much more like the VGF one and not CC. So that was nice to hear even if it doesn't guarantee anything.

Oh gosh yes! I'm suprised that we made it to this point without selling anything. 15yo still loves Disney! Now we're into girlfriend stage and driving so travel times are far more limited. After HS it will change again and then after that.... I am being mindful of how I buy so when I give some points over that blue card status will remain for all. In fact I was told we passed ROFR while we were having breakfast at Captain Cook's last year when I got the notice. I was like welp, I have x many more points I want so I'll just wait. If it is same association I am unsure how I'll do it. I know those points will fly too given the speed now so I might just finish out with direct. Though I would consider buying a bigger contract or lots of smaller ones if a good deal and dumping OKW. |
