After the announcement about the new Disneyland Tower having resale restrictions, I am guessing now that Poly 2 will be a separate association with resale restrictions too. Don't understand the reasoning for the restrictions. Wonder if it has something to do with a variety of Homes that expire 2042? |

I feel the addition of resale restricted resorts is the vehicle Disney is now using to create a “ slow purge” of the original Disney Vacation Club model. Not only does it totally create a new membership with different rules, but it also is trying to hurt the resale market. Only time will tell if the resale market is truly affected. But it is certainly changing the way we use our DVC membership.

But it is certainly changing the way we use our DVC membership. I concur. The restricted resorts for us are resale only purchase, unless the direct purchase is a great deal. |

No as it has yet to be decided. We will all learn when DVC announces it. Anyone who has bought direct and deals with a honest guide will not say yay or nay because they don’t know. guess we are in a wait and see….. To add to this- have there been any announcements regarding completion date? Right now it is said to be late 2024. |

I read an article from one of the Disney blog sites that thinks its actually a little ahead of schedule. I couldn't find any updates from Disney, which is why I asked just to make sure I didn't miss anything. |

I don't think they will be any farther away than Pago Pago on the other side of Poly from the GCH and the Monorail station, so there would be no reason at add another stop.

Will the monorail have a stop at these Poly towers that are being built? I don't see a need at all for it. Tuvalu, Fiji and Aotearoa are closer to the GCH than Pago Pago and Moorea are. Tokelau might be similar distance from closest points. But it's going to be quite close. A bit further bus than I'd like but oh well. Though that one might be able to handle a 2nd bus stop though really probably not necessary given how far VGF has to walk to theirs |

Sorry for all the questions...we haven't visited in a number of years. Was this Poly tower always in the plans? Did this pick up in place of Reflections? Does anyone even know the layouts that will be created? Since Poly only has studios and bungalows, will this add a new room category to the DVC location?

Reflections was nixed and this was already in the pipeline so to speak. In fact this was part of the original PVB plans back before they held off and only did studios and bungalows. If it is the same association then like VGF adding, yes, we'll get more choices for PVB. PVB needs it too IMO. |

The timeline for Riviera was: Jan 2017 Resort announced Jan 2019. Room designs/layouts and resort amenities/dining revealed Jan 2019. Opening date announced as “Fall 2019” Jan 2019 Cash bookings opened for Dec 2019 onwards Jan 2019. New resale restrictions announced for all new resorts March 2019 Specific opening date announced as 16th Dec 2019, March 2019. Pricing and point charts revealed 27th March 2019 Sales to existing DVC owners started 10th April 2019. Bookings on points opened for Riviera owners 15th April 2019. Sales to general public started May 2019. Booking on points started for all other DVC owners |
