I think last minute reservation depends on a lot of things: what size unit, when you want to go, what resort and view you want. My only experience with fairly last minute is with renting “cheap” reservations, looking in March for stays in May through July. It’s hard to find any studios at BCV for any nights or BWV for more than 2 nights. Standard views at BLT or Tower rooms at RRV are a little easier than BWV. After that, generally, as the studio becomes more expensive per night, it is a little easier to book it for early to mid-summer for a string of nights, with the exception that OKW, SSR and AKV (other than value or Concierge) are all easier, even with lower costs.
