A bus driver told us that the bus returning from Disney Springs stops at Jambo first. All the other buses returning from the parks stop at Kidani first.

If you go to Sanaa ask for a seat at the window. You may get some visitors right outside looking for some of your lunch.

We love Kidani!
Make sure to check the daily activity schedule for both resorts-lots of fun activities. Take the Boma, Jiko and Kidani tours. The gift shop at Jambo is one of my favorites so check it out! Request to be close to the lobby.

I'm another person who loves Kidani! I personally prefer the savannah viewing areas at Kidani over Jambo, and I LOVE the Kidani pool's waterslide.

Well, now I'm starting to question my decision to stay at Jambo this summer. It's a standard studio and I thought I'd heard that the standard views were generally better at Jambo than Kidani. I also thought avoiding the long hallways would be nice for my daughter (it's just the two of us).
I'm sure there were threads on the old board about one vs the other, but are there any pros to Jambo compared to Kidani? We only have two nights and I'm sure the pool will be part of it. Of course ease of transportation to the parks (no Springs) is a major factor too. I've visited Kidani for Sanaa but never been to Jambo. I don't meant to hijack your thread krisephillips, but I'd appreciate any insight y'all have.

For one of your two nights there, I'd recommend grabbing a beverage from Victoria Falls and then sitting by the giant indoor fireplace to relax and unwind. It offers great views of the lobby and since you're inside it won't be sweltering hot during your summer trip.

A Jambo house there are a lot of people pens (the fenced areas on the savannah) where they would send guests if the building had to be evacuated for any reason. This gives Jambo the edge on standard views with the possibility of having an obstructed (not really just the people pen in front of you) savannah view at standard point cost. Here is a pick of the standard view studio room we had at Jambo. Lots of giraffes around this area.

Plus, if you think you'll be wanting quick serve meals, Mara is at Jambo--that's a nice option (I think Mara is one of the best quick serve restaurants on property)...it's a bit of a trek to get from Kidani to Jambo (altho in addition to the buses (get on any park-bound bus and Kidani and then get off at Jambo), they do have a shuttle between the two--I've never taken it, tho--it's only a 10-minute or so stroll between the two lobbies)...plus, Jambo's gift shop is much bigger (and has more unique merchandise than other resort shops)...Kidani's gift shop is really quite tiny....I'd have a hard time choosing between the two if there were availability at both (generally, Kidani is more available for longer than Jambo and so I often wind up at Kidani just because that's where the availability is)....my guess is you'll love Jambo--and if/when you stay there again, this time at Kidani, you'll love that, too!

"People Pen" that makes me laugh. Never stayed at either but I have shopped at the store at Jambo and it's awesome. I always think I want to go try Mara. But it's not easy when you are living at OKW and by the time you convince your wife to go all the way over there on three busses or whatever, you might as well just go to Sanaa or Boma

We stayed with the kiddos in a standard view room in 2021. We did get a view with animals and my kiddos sat out there mesmerized by the animals walking around snacking! They loved the pool and as adults we enjoyed it as well. I agree with everyone else, that hallway is LONG!! We've been working our way through a few other requests from the kiddos for our annual trips but would definitely stay again!

I hope we get something like that. Thanks everyone for the replies. I also hadn't considered the food aspect. Convenient quick service is definitely a plus. I think I'll stick with Jambo. Worst case scenario, it's only two days and then we move on to Beach Club. haha

I would put in a request for an obstructed savannah view.

Sounds like I'll be happy either way with standard.
