Is there a maximum number of infants you can have in a room?
For example, let's say a family has mom, dad, grandma, 4 y/o and then twin 2 y/o....
How would that work in a four person occupancy room? How about a five person occupancy room?

I believe only one infant under 3 can be counted as an extra over the stated room occupancy. The other one has to be included in the head count.
So you’d need a 5 person studio / 1-bed.

Two kids will count towards occupancy and the third will not. The wording is actually x many plus 1 child under 3. The under 3 is limited to 1. You will need a room that holds 5. You cannot book 4 person max rooms.

So I admit this is breaking the rules but, if you can handle all those people in one room that is created for less than 5, just leave one of the 2y/o off the reservation. We have often had people in our hotel rooms and DVC villas that are not on the reservation, although only the hotel rooms have we exceeded the maximum allowed. JMO

JMOTwo or three years ago I was staying at WL with 6 people in a 6 person suite. My parents booked a hotel offsite and came over to visit us. A Cast Member came to our room and asked how many people were staying there that night. I am sure they are much less likely to catch extra guest who don't have park tickets and who don't drive in separately from the main group. But that experience makes me believe they watch room occupancy closely.

DVC was always overnight and they were gone by morning. We always offered because we'd rather share a room then have people drive home after a night of adult beverages. When our eldest would join us, I always went down to Concierge/Bell Services for a car permit.

Its frustrating as a PVB owner that I have a family of 6 and the only option is booking 2 studios or excessively priced Bungalows.

But to be fair, NO studios will accommodate a family of 6. So you are looking at multiple studios or a 2BR at any of the DVC resorts. Looks like you will have more options when the new Poly addition opens, so that’s great news for owners! Until then, your only other option is to book a 2BR at another resort. Hang in there. You’ll soon have more Poly choices.

But we do okay with 2 connecting studios. I do miss in room laundry though. I like putting it in so I come home with clean clothes. I am hopeful that PVB will remain one association. I'll add more so we can have more space.

I love the 2 Bedroom payout at BLT and BWV. At least with the 2 studios you never have to fight for bathroom time. But the last couple times at PVB they have given me a lot of trouble to get adjoining studios after several trips with no issues making that happen. Its been a little frustrating.

Are you using connecting or adjoining? The wording matters to them at least on that. If connecting, I do check in at the front desk. They seemed to do better with that type of request for me lately. I do prefer 2 bedrooms as a whole and will continue to book once I can. I cannot wait to see what they offer in the new tower.

I call DVC after booking on the website, and they add notes to the bookings that we are requesting adjoining rooms. Then I check in on the app and ask for adjoining rooms on the requests section. Then I go to the front desk and request it as soon as we arrive (usually in the morning). Last trip we did get it, but they acted like it was a big deal. The time before we did not get adjoining rooms the first two days but then were able to move rooms and get it the rest of the trip. I wish it wasn't as much of a hassle to work out.

There's the problem. The word you need is "connecting" not adjoining. Out of the 360 rooms all but like 2 connect to another room - but in pairs. So adjoining could mean near or next to each other, but not connecting. The people at the front desk are absolute ninnies sometimes with DVC. They do both and honestly sometimes they don't know what the heck they are talking about. DVC actually has the capability to make it a booking category. They just chose not to. On the back end the info is there to do it. You're honestly the first I've heard having that many issues consistently. There should be zero reason why 99% of the time they cannot connect. For us it would be a big deal as we'd be splitting our party of 3 into non joining. We haven't had issues, but I always ask for connecting and make that one of the few requests. I also check in at the front desk and say connecting. It's stupid and cannot wait to have at least a 1 bedroom to book. I fear what a 2 bedroom theme park view might be
