Have you tried Wine Bar George for Happy Hour? We haven't as yet. We've wandered by a couple of times, but the menu always seemed particularly unimpressive. Looking now, I only see the "bites and boards" menu, which is what I think I looked at, and can't actually find a happy hour menu. If this is it, looks very standard. Is there some other menu I've not been able to find? Cheers. It just has a nice vibe and if you enjoy wine with a good server. The atmosphere is nice. I’ve been twice, once with my daughter, we were headed back home. 5 something flight, better than eating in the airport. We were seated upstairs, had a great server. We both got wine flights, and she really took her time to discuss what we like taste wise. I’m a red wine drinker, daughter is, well I say not a real wine drinker. She likes the sweeter side of white. Maybe the food is unimpressive because I can’t really say what we had. We had apps, they were good. So maybe age or it was several years ago. Went the following year daughter and husband. We were seated outside on the terrace. Server was okay. Not as helpful with the wine flight, even though I showed her pictures from previous of what I liked. Again some apps. Maybe a caprese salad, crostini not outrageous but good quality and better than most wdw places run by wdw you would get. I would say give it a try, if you enjoy some wine and lite bites. Haven’t been back but they have a flaming melting cheese I would like to try.

Wine tasting here, if we choose to do it, is going to be excellent without having to do it at Disney. Plus, mrs. brp doesn't drink, so definitely not something for us with mediocre food offerings. But I can see where others might find this appealing.
Cheers.

The DDP is way too much food for us

We can be big eaters and DDP was way too much food for wife and I, all those years ago. I am not the type to leave money (or food) on the table, so every day it was like "What giant restaurant are we going to today" and we had to get apps, food, AND dessert, for 7, 8, 10 days in a row. Biergarten, Boma, Tusker, Cellier, Mama Melrose, Sci-Fi, Crystal Palace, I'm gonna be sick just thinking about it. Then didn't we also get quick service, too? And you had to pick a dessert for that, too.
On the other hand, if it weren't for "free dining" back before we were owners, we probably wouldn't have tried half the places we've tried.

The one time we went to Narcoossee's was the one time we were on the DDP. We felt "obligated" to get the surf and turf. It was bery good, but it psychologically limited out choices. We ate more (and weighed more) then, and it was still too much.
Now we look at our health and don't gluttonize.
Cheers.

We enjoy an evening at WBG, especially in the early months of the year sitting on the outdoor patio with the live entertainment close by. And I would not call the food their mediocre.

I've not had the food, so was not commenting on that. My point was that, for us, and compared to other DS choices, the menu selection there is mediocre. The actual food may well be good.
The location is very nice, although Boathouse dock is right there, too.
Cheers.

We never did DDP since we always go during festivals and eat at the kiosks. Our favorite ADR is Storybook dining with Snow White. With DVC discount it seems worth the spurge.

We are non dining plan people. Too much food for us. That said, our newest favorite is Sanaa, took us way too long to get around to eating there. Not sure I’d say it’s the best bang for the buck, but definitely worth every penny spent.

We enjoy the brunch options offered on the weekends and sitting on the patio to people watch in the evenings. Service has always been good, and George has been known to come to the table. The ambiance and consistently good service is what draws us back. Brunch is always on the list of must do’s for the kids.

We’re not foodies, so I’m perfectly happy with whatever kids meal is available. My carnivore can always find a steak, ribs, or burger. He doesn’t get that much red meat as a general rule, so he really enjoys vacation! I’d say that out of the restaurants we’ve tried, about half were “ let’s do that again,” and the other half were “one and done.”
