dvcnews.com/disney-news/walt-disney-world/wdw-dining/5613-disney-dining-plans-confirmed-for-dvc-membersIn early May, Disney announced that its popular dining plans would return in 2024. The announcement did not specifically address availability to Disney Vacation Club owners. However, a link has since been added to the members-only website which reads: Starting May 31, 2023, call Member Services to add dining plans to your 2024 stays! Two dining plans will be available. The traditional Disney Dining Plan offered one table service meal, one quick service meal and one snack per day, along with a refillable beverage mug. Also the Quick Service Dining Plan with two counter service meals and one snack item per day, with the refillable mug. Exact terms have not yet been revealed and may be subject to change. Also no pricing has been made available. DVC owners were eligible to book the dining plans in the past. Members must contact DVC member services to add one of the dining plans to their reservation and make payment. The dining plans must be purchased for every guest listed on the villa reservation and for every night of the stay. Reservations made with DVC points do not qualify for "free dining" or similar promotions offered to cash guests. Complete details should be available by May 31 when the new dining plans are available to reserve. The dining plans will be valid for stays commencing on January 9, 2024 or later.

It will be interesting to see the costs and changes of the new Dining Plans. I also wonder if the Deluxe Dining Plan will be offered. Hopefully they will bring the TIW card back next.

Glad to hear that DVC made the update to their site; I know a few DVC members who have been waiting to hear about Dining Plans.

This is good news for members who want dining plans although it will make it harder to get ADRs. Personally not interested but hoping upon hope that TIW makes a comeback.

I'm extremely doubtful on both, but of course we shall see... Was Deluxe Dining still available pre-pandemic shittiness? For some reason I'm thinking it was gone in 2020, but could certainly be wrong. Definitely don't need it regardless. Tables I doubt we ever see again. A damn shame, indeed.

But the prices aren't available yet? It seems strange to me that anyone would consider ordering the dining plan when we don't know what we're paying for it. But maybe that's just the cheapskate New Englander in me.

Personally, I am not pleased that DDP is returning because 1) we never used it, but more importantly 2) it ultimately resulted in far lower levels of quality and service in the restaurants

Personally, I am not pleased that DDP is returning because 1) we never used it, but more importantly 2) it ultimately resulted in far lower levels of quality and service in the restaurants We have used it in the early days. It served to prove to DH that if you prepay he’s not digging out his wallet all day every day so he learned to appreciate Disney on a different level. He’s over that now. I fear that quality and portion size will decline as it did before. We don’t mind smaller portions but don’t want to pay more for less. On another issue, will ADRs be required at 180 days out again?

Always need to check on how useful it will be. Does not work for everyone.

Yes I am not likely to use it but curious about the pricing. As someone said will we go back to 180 day ressies? Though that is annoying in its own right the 60 day feels worse to me. I am a BIG planner with everything so the 180 day worked for me better. While 60 days I feel like I am not getting my choices much. If I bought the traditional DDP and had crummy choices at 60 days Momma would not be too happy....

I saw the value of DDP decline once they started moving regular table service restaurants to signature requiring two TS credits. Really at this point just give me Tables In Wonderland!!
