It's so typical that Disney makes the announcement about the two-factor authentication and refers to "Disney OneID" but gives no link to that system. Even the FAQ about it on the DVC doesn't provide a link. Does anyone happen to know what it is? Google doesn't seem to turn up anything.

I think what they are referring to is the way you use the same email and password for all disney sites. So I have just one ID with disney, and it works for MDE, DVC, and Disney+. Also, shop disney I think.

A few hours ago, I logged into my D+ account for the first time in forever to change my payment method (if you have Amex, check your offers for a D+ cash back deal). My D+ password is the same as my MDE, ESPN+, etc.

IIRC, Disney went to the "OneID" thing when MDE was first rolled out. I remember several people posting about having issues initially because of having different email addresses and passwords for Disney sites vs ESPN, etc.

Received the email and it seems you will only need the two factor pin that is sent to you via your registered email or phone to access loan account info. That part was not clear as isn’t all related to our membership account info? They have had accounts linked to emails for years. Apparently my email and account is linked to back to when my son had a Club Penguin account, lol. If anyone remembers that close to twenty years ago. We shall see if they have better luck this time. Last time they wanted info from contracts to get a pin from 1997! Plus for those with multiple contracts. We shall see how this roll out goes.

Really what I'm trying to do is to get Disney to use my phone number as part of the two-factor process instead of my email. Does anyone know where to make that change? My.DisneyAccount.com doesn't have anything and neither does MDE.

I'm hoping to avoid the two factor if it is only needed for loans. I have relatively low confidence in Disney IT. Seems like the recent attempt to require two factor verification for the DVC member website went so well it was walked back within a day or two.
While I generally like multi factor verification for security, I don't get why Disney would call out DVC for this but not the other sites like D+, WDW, etc. I'd have to double check, but I feel fairly sure those other sites also store sensitive data like name, address, CC#, etc.

My favorite is where you have to call to have your password reset. I hope I’m interpreting it wrong but, since Disney IT is involved, those hopes are low.

I thought Disney had a person use oneID for the past several years. I used to have two IDs but I was told by Disney to make them one several years ago.

Anyone having issues logging on to DVC Member site? I must admit I can never seem to login from my iPad, only from my computer. But in the past on the iPad, I could use the “having trouble logging on” option and would get a code sent. Today, can’t log in and no option for help in logging on. I can still log in to WDW website or Disneyland (and both still have the option for getting help if you have trouble logging on). Sigh. Disney IT.

Just logged in today with no problem on Windiows10/Firefox.
In 5 days at Disney, the app worked flawlessly.
Cheers.

I thought it was weird that the login screen had changed (both in Safari on iOS and Mac) so that the “having trouble logging in” option was gone. I shut down the iPad and can now log in again.

I hate the new login screen. Now I can't use my KeePass autofill in one flawless command. As usual, typical Rat IT "improvements."

I've seen other websites do the split sign on - username on one screen, and password on the next. I hate them all.
