Good morning from the Savannah. We have one more day here at Animal Kingdom Lodge Jambo….I mean Kidani. Since I think im closer to the Jambo lobby in this last room at the end of the hallway, I get confused. I can’t believe we are alll the way down here! The last room! Which might not be as hilarious to us except that the one room request we made was close to lobby . They must’ve thought Jambo lobby . It’s a beautiful 2 bedroom though, great Savannah view, and still very much loving it . It’s also a little extra ironic since at Boardwalk we were given the LAST room on the right….we don’t need those extra steps Disney! off on our last day to AK for a morning safari. Maybe a couple other rides and Satuli Canteen. We haven’t made one rope drop yet this whole trip. We’re slipping in our old age . will add , my favorite ‘sleep in day’ was yesterday, our MK day. DH and I got up to get a Tron VQ, and hoped ti go back to bed. BG 1 ! Ha.

We've had that last door in BWV before ... right beside the attic.
A drunken wedding party member invited us to join them inside...if only my son had been a few years older we might've popped in to at least see what it's like in there.

I’ve had those last rooms before. My tummy could use them, ha.
Continue to enjoy!

Last year when we were there the only request I made was for a room away from the lobby (as we DO need the steps) and we got the first room off the lobby on the check in desk side. First time I made any requests on a trip. We thought it quite hilarious as well.

I’ve had the last room at the BW on our first stay, and down the winding road of Kidani. Glad you are enjoying your stay, though.

Back home in TN. DH drove the whole way back yesterday, and luckily, only a few rather short slowdowns on the way: in FL, and Atlanta, but Chattanooga was a breeze for a change. We were anticipating really bad weather close to home, CMA fest was this past weekend, and the outdoor stages were closed due to weather for a while. We all took the day off work today to recuperate (and in case we needed 2 days travel.) so glad too. My throat hurts, and slightly congested....hope it's nothing WIll add pictures asap, but will start with brief recaps of the first few Non-Disney days.
Last Friday, June 2, travel day. Was not an easy drive with long slowdowns in Chattanooga, and ATL, that with the 2 obligatory Buc-ees stops, added more than an hour to drive. Spent first night at Spring Hill Suites in the Marriott Village. It was fine, and we're familiar with that complex, but I don't know if I'd do SHS again. The musty/moldy smell was a bit overwhelming. good enough room tho for 1 night, and spacious if we'd need the pull out couch
Saturday, June 3-SeaWorld.- DH had free 1 day tickets through a military ticket offer. Weather didn't cooperate completely. SW staggers their ride openings, which wed' anticipated, so tried to plan for that. DS's favorite Manta was open when we got there, no wait. He and DD rode that. Pipeline was NOT open, and neither was Ice breaker (until much later), I assume due to weather, but could've been technical issues. Walked through shark encounter, then saw Mako was open. yay! finally checked Mako off my coaster list. IT was super fun, very smooth and thrilling, but Velocicoaster is still my favorite coaster in Orlando. DD did 3 rides on Infinity falls, a ride like Kali River, but you get WAY more wet. DS did Mako again, then the falls, Icebreaker and Pipeline still not open. Roamed through Sesame Street area----wow, what memories. I LOVED Sesame street growing up. I grew up with 4 channels, and SS was a must watch (with Mr Rogers, and Electric Company.) . I shed a tear or two taking a picture of Mr Hooper's Store....they did a great job with that area. Finally Icebreaker opened. DH and kids rode it. I skipped due to all the backwards parts, can't do those. Another aquarium, then we were all hangry....started to leave the park, and FINALLY saw PIpeline open. However, now we were all hangry, hot, tired, and decided to skip....so didn't get to try that one. Overall, a fun morning, glad we went. SW does a lot of festivals during the year that look fun. I think we'd go again given then chance.
Decided to finally try a Bahama Breeze restaurant. Wow. What a surprise. My cousins in Orlando had recommended it for a while, and they were so right. Everything was delicious. I am wary of getting shrimp in chain restaurants, it's usually rubbery not great, but the coconut shrimp tacos were wonderful, as was my seafood chowder. .We'll make this a go-to offsite spot on future trips.
Headed to Aventura to check in and pick up Universal APs. The hotel has a ticket desk, so easily got APs, then checked in around 2 PM, room was ready, and had several options to choose from for our skyline view. Kids just wanted to hang out in room. DH and I walked over to Universal Studios. Had hoped to get a crepe, but line too long. I've been trying to get a crepe for over a year now, but either it was cloesd, or lines too crazy. Headed to Diagon alley. DH got in a very long line for ice cream at Florian's. I went over to Fountain of Fair fortune, and got a Dragon Scale beer, DH got butterbeer softserve, and we just sat on the other side of the Magical Menagerie shop> there's a great little place to sit, with several benches, right outside of the window with the giant snake, which speaks Parseltongue. Florian's ice cream is the best, and I finally tried some of the softserve butter beer. I don't tend to like softserve, but yummy! It's a must-do now. Wandered around Knockturn alley, shopped at Borgin and Burke's, and ended up at the Today Cafe for some sweets. and did check out the Jurassic Park 30th anniversary tribute store. Universal has been doing fabulous themed tribute stores lately. hope they keep that up. DD went to the pool. we just hung out in room. we only had one night at Aventura, then were moving to Royal Pacific the next morning.
Royal Pacific checkin the next day. Since we didn't plan to rope drop Hagrid's, we didn't hurry over. Checked in around 9:00. Room was READY! that was a surprise. Now that we had express passes (from staying at Royal Pac. ) decided to head to parks before unpacking, so off to IoA for VC. Did our usual IoA: I got a Hogshead brew and frozen butter beer at the Hogshead pub. DS and I rode the Jurassic park river adventure. It's been closed every time I"ve tried before, and even that day was delayed a lot. That one is nostalgic for me. we all split up for lunch. DH enjoyed Thunder Falls again (t's our recommendation for QS in that park.) DS Burger Digs, (typical theme park burger and fries. meh.) and DD got ramen at the Comic strip cafe, she did not at all like it. I had gotten a meat pie (surprisingly very tasty,) from a cart in Hogsmeade earlier, and wasn't super hungry. DH and kids did DR Doom, got some good interaction with the Green Goblin. IoA has some great character meet/greets. Spider man, one of my favorites, and then the Hulk. then off to the room. I'd been saying for a while that I prefer Hard Rock, but now I think Royal Pacific is up there too. Very nice room. Not huge, but the resort is great.
Back to Universal .I FINALLY got a crepe. It was delicious, and a very good QS choice at the park, but wow, what a long wait They make them fresh, so I get it, but it can take a long while to get the order, and they call by name, so you have to stand around waiting...in the heat! Glad I checked it off the list though. Rode MiB a couple times. LOVE that ride so, so much, it's in my tops. Still working on improving my score...I know that IP is dated, but i sure hope they don't close that ride. I love the theme. DH and I ate at Cowfish later that night. Another reallly good meal. picked up Bread box for the kids. Bread box is a great go-to for sandwiches. Express pass makes everything at Universal so extra easy and wonderful.

Monday-transition to Disney. Goodbye lanyards. Hello Magic Bands. Did online checkin for BWV 1 bedroom pool/water/garden view. Saw room was ready while still at Uniiversal. Room 2027.....Just looked over map, and I guess it's not technically the last room on the right at the end of long hallway, but still it's at the end of that offshoot. It over looked the walkway to HS/service road, and the Crescent lake waterway. DH, DD, and I headed to Epcot to try some F/G food. DS was happy eating his canned soup/ravioli, I think he'd had enough of the theme parks, and peopling for the day too. He's kinda picky, and we always bring familiar food for him Late night hours at Epcot. Got our GotG BG. Always fun. Our song was I Ran, DH's favorite. (I think I still have a Flock/Seagulls cassette around here, but it was their next album.) Soarin, my favorite, Test Track, and kids did Mission Space. I still haven't done MS orange, and probably never will. Next day was to be sleep in, but DH got up to get a Gotg BG 5. It was called at 8:40. We found this to be the case for later in the week also with Tron and GotG again, if it's a low BG #, it's called before regular park opening. We had until 9:40 to get back for those. Had fun on Spaceship Earth. Had DS choose Spanish, since he just did his third year of it, so he could translate/practice. that was fun. he couldn't really translate much audio, but he recognized most of the questions at the end when we did the "welcome to your future " stuff. Discovered the indoor area of the Citrus blossom. Enjoyed a beer flight and baked brie. Both yummy. then got the lox/egg dish and shrimp/grits from Brunch Cot and carried them back to inside the pavilion to eat. SO much nicer inside in the AC. That night was our lightsaber builds. DH out of the blue several weeks back, suggested we go ahead and do this. We already have 7 lining the walls on the staircase, (newest addition was Rey's, one of my Christmas presents,) DD and DS didn't want to do it. We make the offer that they could buy a character's lightsaber instead, and DD wants Ahsoka's. Didn't get it in park, so might order it. My practicality, DS, said he didn't need/want a lightsaber....I think he just wanted money. I think his middle name should've been Ebenezer. He's very much like my dad. No spending on silly stuff. Took me all night to decide what color crystal I'd get. Went with purple, although we have all the colors and can swap them out. I did the peace and justice collection. DH went with Power, but surprisingly , chose a green crystal. I was also stressed about the assembly. .I am the complete opposite of mechanically inclined. Not to worry. CMs are stationed throughout to assist, and ours made sure everything fit. Our building leader was awesome! I will leave a cast compliment for her for sure, all of the Savi's CMs were great. It was truly a fun experience. I am glad we did it now.

I love that you love US/IOA. I wish I could do their rides. Thanks for sharing. 2025 obligatory Bucee’s stop in Ocala For sure!!! It's so nutso in those places. The one in Warner Robbins, GA, on the way back was insane. It was like rope drop. We're getting one fairly close to us, just past Murfreesboro on I24.

Still working on pictures, and having some issues with uploading, but hope to add some soon, Will just add a few highlights from the last days of the trip. Our lightsaber build was scheduled after park closing, park closed 9:00, build time: 9:45. We'd been on TSMM on a last ride, We did have to show the CMs our Savi's reservation to be allowed to enter Galaxy's Edge> DD had been on ToT, and she was our guest, and she had to show CMs the reservation to be allowed to stay in the park, get to us. We were able to take some great pictures with our sabers in front of the Falcon and a few other places, on our way out. We left park about 11:00 PM, very deserted. Another creepy walk back to BWV. it's so quiet and feels isolated at that time of the night.
DH had great luck with Boarding groups. For Guardians, did get a bg at the 6PM drop on the late evening night. Also got BGs 5 and 1 the other days we tried. One day, Dh did try to delay getting a group at the 7:00 AM drop. to see if we could get a later one, and he didn't try to join until about 30 seconds after 7, and he was not successful, had to wait for the 1PM drop for that, but did get a BG at 1:00. Tron was so cool at night. We got a Bg at 6PM, and it was called about 12:10 AM. we had until 1AM to get there. got in line at 12:40, off ride about 1:35AM. so took a while. Lockers were easy enough, nice big lockers, fit the backpack easily. Was SOOOOOO coool leaving MK at that time of the morning. It was so deserted. got some awesome pictures of the castle, Main St, etc. bus line for BWV was very full, didn't make the first bus, but another one was called. I think the family in front got the attention of a guard, and they just pulled the next bus. walking down the long hallway at BWV at 2:25AM. latest theme park night for me ever. Even with Halloween Horror nights!
Another first was finally heading out to Geyser Point. Got there just before 11, after our morning on Tron with BG1, ,and did a walk up. Finally got to try the bison burger, and it did not disappoint. So yummy. Also got the margarita flight. yummy, but so sweet!
Saturday night we celebrated 23 years of wedded togetherness. Very delicious meal at California Grill. Service was very slow, but food was all good.Glad to try it.
one more ride on GotG Sunday morning, then hit the road. Only 1 Bucees stop on the way home. We'd seen that there was really bad weather predicted in TN, so wanted to beat it. We luckily ended up missing almost all of it. Also tried Cook Out. there's a couple in Murfreesboro, and they were good enough, and cheap eats.
Told DH I needed to take a break from all the Disney/Univeral blogs/vlogs, forums, but here I am. It's a nice distraction from the tedium of work and life. Do hope to plan a different destination sooner than later. Friends just got back from an Alaskan cruise, and that looked so fabulous. But we also have our October Orlando trip......

My mom did the Alaskan cruise once with her dad and again with my step dad (the original Mr. No Travel I knew first besides DH). She loved it both times and would love to go again. My Mr. No Travel would never venture that far from his home here in FL now for us to plan that cruise. I’ll love to go. Also, my step mom did it and she also loved it although she does regret watching the Titanic when she was on board! I still give her a hard time about that on occasion.
Thanks for sharing your report.
Happy Anniversary again too!
Agree with Brian, no need to give up MO.

Thank you for sharing your report and Happy Anniversary!!
I had heard/read about the long hallways at BW and when we were given one, I laughed all the way to our room. It just never ended/we never seemed to get there. I have also heard about the Kidani hallways. We have stayed here twice and lucky to get close to lobby. I don't mind the steps though/most of the times.
We need to try Bahama Breeze someday. Have read all positive reviews. We have not had a meal off-site in years and also need to take time to stop at Bucee's next time. I have been curious about this place for a while. DH is always in a "hurry" to get there.
Thank you again.

The way I handled MS orange is by resurrecting past ye ole natural childbirth technique - breathing & focal point. It does diminish the slingshot effect of the ride because you're basically tuning it out (much like the pesky childbirth 'discomfort') LOL
