My son was told a couple days ago that disney is going to combine buses at the epcot resorts so YC&BC will share with the BW. Why??? Many times the busses are all crowded. Also there is no longer a bus to epcot from GF. We were told to use the monorail. Little bit of a problem since my oldest will not ride the monorail. He got stuck on it for almost two hours when he was nine and has not ridden It since then. Ugh! We have our car but I really don't feel like driving there, when the bus was so convenient.

You can thank Iger for this. Again, what has he done for the customer experience? This just shows you the economic state Disney is in. Oh, this is just the start.

Maybe it will be combined for the slower times of the day only. . I think they actually did this a long time ago . I can remember BLT and Poly and GF sharing the route and then it was changed to BLT and WL joined together , with GFand Poly as a separate shared route. Probably management change that has to invent a new wheel to justify their salary.

Finding ways to cut costs and help with profitability is what he (and any CEO) is hired to do. Sounds like he's doing the job that's expected of him. Kudos to Bob on this.
Cheers.

They did do this a long time ago. I want to say even when my kid was born we had this issue once as I remember getting off and walking to save more stops being at BCV. Hopefully it will be only during slow times.

Iger is doing what he and perhaps others feel is best for the business and stockholders. As any person in a business would do. And in the long run it may be best for us who regularly go to WDW. Otherwise it might not be there. These are difficult times for Disney and some difficult decisions are having to be made. As a wise person once told me "Desperate people do desperate things during desperate times."

Theoretical scenario #1: You stand at the YC/BC bus stop for 40 minutes before a bus comes. The people next to you stand at the BW bus stop for 40 minutes before a bus comes.
Theoretical scenario #2: You and the other people stand at the YC/BC/BW bus stop for 20 minutes before a bus comes. You ride the bus to BW, then YC/BC (or reverse).
I'd take #2

In fact, if I was standing at the Springs and there was a bus line that said "SSR OKW POR RIV CBR POP AOA" but I noticed it was departing every two minutes, I'd totally take that one

My husband stayed at AkV. He asked how often the buses come for the springs, and was told about every 45 minutes. Not sure if that was accurate, but he opted to just hang out at the resort.

Definitely the bus routes have changed throughout the years, both negatively and positively. The Epcot resorts have often been combined. Monorail from Grand Floridian to Epcot (via TTC) has been the only option barring special events/circumstances at least 90% of my visits.
Fortunately one can now always Uber/Left if necessary, whereas years ago of course such services did not exist and taxis could be difficult to find.
Assigning blame to a CEO for minor inconveniences is of course useless. Quite frankly even major disruptions will not matter much to a company unless they negatively impact the majority of customers. And even then only if there is a direct hit to the bottom line.
As always, one can either deal with it or not. Rest assured no change will be enacted due to whining and complaining (as usual).

I think I saw that bus just a few hours ago driving 60 miles per hour down World Drive ..in a huge downpour Talk about Fast& Furious It was pouring down rain and I was hydroplaning at 45 mph and I slowed down That non -Disney bus driver did not slow down! It honestly said on the front destination display : Holiday Inn B Restaurant Wyndham DoubleTree…
Maybe they put all that on dash to discourage anybody from boarding their bus .

I've stayed at the Doubletree many times and that bus always services those 4 resorts. Never really had an issue with getting a seat however. Never experienced the Fast & Furious driver either.

An hour ago it was pouring in PA with a tornado warning but now the sun is trying for some sky time. Weather is crazy.
