I can just imagine how excited you’ll be about five days then.😉 Ah....well now I really DO need one of those paper noise maker thingies. Nope.

I was very surprised by the hours after just getting back. MK closing at 10pm in the summer does not allow time to go rest and come back after it is cool with sun down when it is sunny until 8:30! Back in Nov and hope there are some later hours which are always fun..

Back in Nov and hope there are some later hours which are always fun.. Agree; I grew up going until midnight, one, two AM every day. Even as an adult, when wife and I started going in 2010 they were open late often, even when it was off-seasons and the crowds were way less back then, so walking around in the dark with low crowds definitely brings a new magic to the space.

Just posting this here, it seems to fit.
Currently the extended hours for MK that would be expected on Sept 27th is not showing on the park hours. No word yet if this is a CM event or private buyout.

I was just looking into listed dates for extended evening hours for November and December and it sure looks as if Magic Kingdom has been removed from the rotation. What is with that?!?
Heck, in December there are eight scheduled with it starting with Animal kingdom and ending with Animal Kingdom and the other six in between being Epcot.
Before, I would have said a Deluxe resort would be worth considering, but now, with that schedule...nope.

Cheers.

When last I checked, no love for our November (8-13) trip. Cheers. I doubt they’ll add MK before New Year now. I don’t understand how they managed it last year, other than the 2 weeks before Christmas - and yet have completely bypassed it this year.

But others are welcome.
I should modify what I wrote, actually. They do have evening hours at AK on Nov. 8, the day we arrive. With a 4:45 arrival and getting groceries, it will be tight to make the 7-9, but we will try.
Cheers.

We took advantage of the extra hours at HS on our Oct trip, and I was very pleasantly surprised at how much we were able to get done. It was great! I think the sprinkling of rain helped keep some crowds away, but we got in line for Rise shortly before closing, then did Smuggler's run regular line, just 2 of us, asked to be pilots and got that (there was only a 5 mins standby wait, so they were letting folks pick positions.) then TSMM, twice for me, then I did Slinky, and then MMRR, last train of the night. DS and DH had gone to do RnRC which had been down almost all day. While they were in line, it went down again, but thankfully came back up, then I think they rode ToT twice at least. All in all, a very pleasant, cooler night at HS, compared to rope drop crowds that same day.

I find it super annoying they don’t keep the parks open later. Especially coming from the West Coast, evening hours are best.
When we were at Disneyland last year between Xmas and NY, our most productive time was between 10p-12a.

Returning to this with an update. We decided to get the groceries after going to the park, so we actually landed, got the car, checked in and were at AKV by 6PM.
Overall, this is a less useful park for evening late hours. All animal-related things are closed, which makes sense (although the night safari in Singapore manages to go out late). It did result in shorter lines for FoP and Na'vi River, so that was a plus. Also, the lighting in Asia is very nice in the dark, so we enjoyed that. But two hours (with only 1 of those being Extra hours time) was enough and we were out by about 8.
Cheers.
