For Southwest flyers, just received a Costco email. 2 days only a Southwest $500 GC is on sale for $449.99. Pretty nice discount.

Buy if you are a Costco member a $500 GC and pay & $449.99. I don’t really care for SW and they have almost no direct flights out of where we fly. But I know many are SW fans. So $50 off of a $500 GC saves them money. It’s a two day only sale.

I see the offer at Costco.com for a $500 Southwest gift card for $50.01 off (I.e., $449.99). Good through tomorrow 7/23. If the offer in the email was for $499.99 (that is, $0.01 off), that appears to be a typo.

Basically, other than a penny 10% off of $500 would be $50 so a $500 GC for $450 10% less a penny. Thank you for pointing out my typo. Instead of reread your post, reply. A simple did you mean…. Would have worked LauraLea. I will go and edit. |

We were happy to see SW will continue to offer 1 NS from PHL to MCO throughout the week in the last release of flights into March.

As an FYI these are the usual rates for Costco gift cards. The only unknown is how often they are in stock. They also sometimes do a better deal but that's rare. For this one, I'd buy if you need, but give it a month or so, and it'll be back.

LOL! I don't fly SW, but I always love to know about things like this.
I didn't see the original typo, but even at $499.99, a penny saved is a penny earned! Thanks for posting the helpful info!

They used to have AS cards at this price and we bought those. Before that, they had AA.
WN are just not of enough interest for us.
Edit: Just checked and they have AS cards on sale. Sadly, limit of 5 per membership.

WN is Southwest. AS is Alaska. I don't see the Southwest cards now but they usually have them and $449.99 is that standard price when they do. They come and go. Maybe the deal is that they're standard CostCo price, but then they will go away for a while?
In any event, for those interested in Alaska, they are there now.
