It looks nice and all. But as others have said its quote out the way for generic food.
Needs some show stoppers to get people to go who would not normally visit

Never been, but when a food staged picture doesn’t look that appealing. You have to wonder how bad the food is.

This offering "fits" what Disney views those people will want. The options are either family style or generic quick service offerings. The Lounge menu is better of the two, in my opinion.
Lack luster best describes the food. For the effort to get there, I rather go to Geyser Point.

The Bison burger is worth the trip to GP on its own !

Makes me so sad to see Trails End go. Worth the trip!!! Enjoy a boat ride first thing in the morning to get to a great, reasonably priced breakfast at Trails End. Afterwards, either mosey over to the horses to visit, or grab a bike rental, enjoying the views and riding bikes in the shade of the trees, ending your bike ride with a refreshing slushy at the store. Just another opportunity to do something different.

I was telling my wife about it, who is with me in "super sad that the real Trail's End is gone", but I have to admit that it's cool that you could go in there and get some of that food by the pound, like at a deli, and bring it back to your campsite and everyone eats at the picnic table or whatever. So it could work out very well for the people living there.

Perhaps when they build Reflections, I will walk over to get some chicken. I could use the extra steps. Not bad for your first DVC cabin stay either 😉

Cabins are at the other end of the campground. Place is too big and a pain to get anywhere.

The only way i see that happening is "if" someone was staying with their camper/RV at Fort Wilderness and we wanted to spend time with them at the resort.
I would pay cash at a nicer hotel first, before staying at the new DVC cabins.

Just watched a video. Now bus or boat to get there. You can't just drive in now because it's QS.

No I totally feel you. Before the cabins were announced, my family and I talked about staying in every single WDW DVC resort (given my issues CA is not a good option for me in terms of flying). We were down to Riviera - which just didn't wow us when we stayed with a friend. My kid doesn't do the skyliner well and tbh it took me an afternoon of riding around solo to be okay with it. Then the cabins were announced.... Don't get me wrong, my very first WDW stay was at Ft Wilderness in a camper, but I have zero desire to repeat a stay. The cabins totally miss the privacy we prefer on vacation. Just like PVB has become meh for us unless it's only part of the crew (and we adore the Polynesian). I have to check with the guys, but I think we effectively just nixed our all WDW resorts because of this. Well except me, been there, done that. And done! I'd rather be nearly anywhere else but Ft Wilderness to stay. I love visiting but that's it. Just watched a video. Now bus or boat to get there. You can't just drive in now because it's QS. Boat would have been my choice anyway
