Thanks for the news. We visit occasionally, but it's not a big deal for us. Also, we don't generally go that time of year so, in addition to not being a big deal it also won't affect us  Cheers. |

It's good that DVC gave so much notice on when the pool closure will happen. I imagine it'll impact the resort that some members choose for a stay in early 2025.

This is intriguing. We don’t like SAB, but do like the location to walk to Epcot. Still, a pool is part of the vaca. Maybe a split stay? Or walk over to Boardwalk’s pool.

Last SAB refurbishment, there were golf cart rides to BWV given to guests that wanted access to slide. We were given free passes to the waterpark as very little notice was given and though off season, we had planned several pool days.
Glad to see notice given before the booking window opens.

Long rehab, but it is needed. When we were there over July 4th weekend, the lack of a refurbishment was really showing. SAB has always been overrated in my opinion anyway, BUT I know its a favorite of many. My grandsons like it, but they also like VGF, AKV, SSR, BLT, RR, OKW, CCV pools.....actually, they have liked every pool at the resorts we have stayed. LOL. They have never tried the BWV or Poly pools yet.

Wonder how this will effect Hurricane Hanna's. I would assume there would be less demand if the pool's closed.

I usually book BCV for May at 11 months but haven’t yet because of not enough points. Splurged this past May so have to recoup. Now I may give availability a look see at 7 months. Thanks for the glimmer of hope. |

Thanks for the glimmer of hope. That was said kinda in jest. It might make some people book elsewhere but probably not many. I have had decent luck getting BCV though but I don't book studios. I also am not a SAB fan so this wouldn't affect me anyway. |

Yup. Even in the tail end of the pandemic when the pool was still closed, Hanna's (a POS, after all) was open for business
