And this is why lots of different programs are made. We quite enjoyed Discovery. Picard 1st and 3rd season are interesting. 2nd not so much.
Looking forward to watching the Christopher Pike series and Lower Decks. The latter is very reminiscent of "Inside Job" on Netflix which was excellent.
Cheers.
I’m lost, but nothing new there… The only Christopher Pike that I’m familiar with is an author who writes adolescent/young adult fiction. So, what is the series about? Christopher Pike is the fictional Captain of the Enterprise in the prequel to the original Star Trek. He’s the character, not the actor! He was originally played by Jeffrey Hunter in the first (both?) pilot(s) of ST before Captain Kirk (played by William Shatner) was made Captain for the original run of ST.

Christopher Pike just predates Kirk. He was in the original pilot for the Original star Trek and that was featured in a later episode. He's also Spock's captain before Kirk. I've not yet watched that series, but it's about events just before Kirk comes on the scene.
Cheers.

I think I’ll just go back and read Remember Me again… 😁 No hating on ST, but Shatner and Nimoy were MY ST.

Update: for anyone that has Verizon for your cell phones, I was able to get the Disney Bundle as a perk for being a Verizon customer. So we won't have to pay the $140 come November when our current subscription renews. Nice win for the day!

When they began offering it, it actually interrupted my initial 3-year subscription from 2019, which has been "paused" and will resume if the Verizon benefit ever goes away.

I just got the e-mail notice of the Disney+ impending price increase on Oct 12th. I'm planning on watching Haunted Mansion when it's available on Oct 4th, then cancelling Disney+, then head to WDW on Oct 17th to give them more of my money!

It turns out my son has Disney+ bundle that came with a cell phone contract. It told him about the increase and he said it can't cancel because his sister's use his account. Meanwhile, nobody - including him - uses Disney+ in this house. I occasionally use his Netflix but I don't watch much TV and I find accessing the Firestick annoying.

I could probably post this in the Stupid Questions thread but hoping someone might be able to answer here. My Disney+ renews by the year and it looks like I paid for a new year in October.
However, I'd like to drop it. Does anyone know if I would get a pro-rata refund on what I prepaid or am I locked in for the year?

I doubt you can get it prorated. You can cancel but you'll likely still have access until it actually expires.
