I am happy the CMs got the pay they deserve and realize that money has to come from somewhere, so prices go up to offset it. for my family, the day to day cost increases have effected us more than our once a year Disney trip increases. We can adjust our spend on our trips fairly easily. My employer hasn’t covered COL increases for a few years now. And our health benefits just keep going up. Minimum wage goes up, the cost of every thing else goes up. We’ve tightened up on a lot of our expenses, and we are lucky we can still afford disney trips and keep DVC. How long that will continue? Time and the economy will tell.

Trust me I don't begrudge workers getting more money when needed. I really don't. I just feel like Disney isn't back to where it should be otherwise to compensate for what they are doing. If they were I'd just be like "well, do I really want to spend money on that extra?" when at Disney. But we're not, and it just irks me. To the point where I am holding on to a decent nest egg for a PVB add on and now I'm like, why bother? For those who know me and know my love of Polynesian and my emotional attachments, that's huge. So it's a combination of a lot for me.
Here I expect to see gripes about Disney increases, just like I hear about others from my friends for other things. For some it's the recession like time we've been in and out of since 2020, and for others it might just be a snowball of stuff.
The last people I want to hurt are the workers though. They were fantastic this last trip particularly. Even trip before we only had obnoxious CM Cristina (amazing how I won't forget her name lol). Lots of CM complements going around and I want them happy so they're happy working there. But some of it just is too much all together I think.

I promised my grandkids and family a WDW trip in 2025. They want the dining plan. I will get them 4 day one park tickets ( we will only be visiting for a week). We are paying for everything for them except their way down to Florida. I am cringing to think of how much this trip will cost me for the 7 of us. My husband and I do have non-expiry tickets to use. And we will get Instacart groceries instead of the dining plan. Even with the accommodation only costing me MF, I am estimating this trip will still cost us close to $5000. That is just crazy!!!!!

Agree with the CMs from this trip! Ryan at Animal Kingdom was super helpful with activating my AP AND my party tickets at the same time! Keith with a Minnie Vans was very cool. Need to google the helicopter service… Ken at the Plaza, making sure that my peep could enjoy her lunch, allergy free, and the CMs at Roaring Fork who “gifted” my birthday cupcake were sweeties! Oh, and our goofy elephant guide! That man loves his job! 🥰 So I’m happy that they got a well deserved raise. I do wish that some of the nickel and dime-ing would just stop, though! I do understand that Disney is a business, not a charity. And I also understand that it is a luxury item, not a necessity. But could we catch just a little break? Pretty please? All is those small increases add up!

I saw q post recently on FB about a budget someone had. It was air bnb mostly but still about $5k total for I think a week. It will begin to price out some soon. But maybe they want that who knows. I worry increases will bring more Karens out. Demanding more for their money spent. Your statement speaks volumes!! I promised my grandkids and family a WDW trip in 2025. They want the dining plan. He takes such good care of us when we go. Never makes me feel bad for allergy crap. We even wish each other well on holidays and such. I love that guy! The Roaring Fork CM. The ones at the orange swirl place. Let me have a taste for free and then when the cash register broke just letting me not pay. Not to mention Dakota on my last day with the whole MDE debacle. Great people everywhere I went this time. They deserve every penny they get and more. If it's padding the uppers who still do things that make me annoyed? Not so much.

And now I still forget... is it the orange or citrus I like better

Forgot about the orange swirl! They hooked you up! Twice! They didn't have to do either! And now I still forget... is it the orange or citrus I like better Um… orange? That was right before I discovered that my magic band was missing. I got a little distracted. But I remember something about pouring orange juice over the top and making your own dessert?

The old location offered it way back when. Orange juice vs fanta floats. Really good.
