I don't know what a digital wallet affiliation is. JaxFLBear gave a complete and thorough answer and process.
As a simple answer: just like many museums and other membership-based institutions have a way to add a "card" to the digital wallet, so too does Disney/DVC.
Cheers.

I don't know what a digital wallet affiliation is. If you add a Disney MagicMobile Pass to your smartphones wallet app (Wallet on Apple, Google Pay on Android), that pass will show your affiliation (DVC and/or AP). There are two DVC affiliations: "DVC Y" and "DVC N". "DVC Y" is entitled to perks and discounts while "DVC N" is not. You add the Disney MagicMobile Pass from the MDE mobile app by going to the menu (3 bars) and then touch Disney MagicMobile. Inside of a WDW theme park, the Disney MagicMobile Pass can be used much like a MagicBand for park entry, room charging, LL/Genie + queue entry, etc. The one major thing a Disney MagicMobile Pass can't do is unlock your hotel room door. disneyworld.disney.go.com/guest-services/magic-mobile/This is all I ever show for discounts. If I stop to think about how to show them my pass and they need to prompt me, that is when they’ll tell you to use the app. Because you have to have set up the wallet, so if you didn’t you won’t find it there. But everyone will have it in MDE.

I use my Wallet for everything possible - boarding passes, concert tickets, transportation, memberships, credit card payment- so it's second nature to open the Wallet and find what I need quickly. Best invention since these phones came out for ease-of-use and security.
Cheers.

We have digital wallet open and ready to speed things up. Always works, no more questions. It is a habit we started so WE remember to get it. Not all Cams ask.
