Looks spectacular! This park will finely get me to crossover to see Universal. I am definitely excited about this park. I've only been to Universal twice, and loved it both times. We are big Harry Potter fans, so very much looking forward to the 3rd land. |

I am SO excited. Been waiting for some new announcements, and this was awesome! Video really gets us even more excited for Epic Universe. All of the lands looks so cool, and sounds like they'll have something for the kiddos w/ the Land of Berk. Just can't wait to see what they do with the 3rd Harry Potter part, Ministry of Magic
I listen to the Unofficial Universal Orlando Podcast, and they were saying there's talk of like a next level interactive wand interaction. Lots of chatter about the Monsters for sure
Can't wait to see how it comes out!!

This park will finely get me to crossover to see Universal. Same here, finally, just with less excitement. Definitely looking forward to the new Grand Helios hotel. There should be a few new dining/drinking options available. Nintendo and Harry combined is finally enough IP to get me to take a glance. Unfortunately nothing else I've heard excites me in the slightest (besides the aforementioned hotel/restaurant selections). A roller coaster dude I am not. As always, we shall see... |

And no matter what, hopefully is indeed enough excitement to cause Disney to feel some competitive pains. That can only help.

Brian - agree on the hope competition spurs creative output at WDW. UO is fine though. I'm excited about the new plans.

This looks grand. With the exception of the Harry Potter portions, I was less than impressed the pretty much the rest of the existing two gates at Universal. They were not up to the quality of Potter or Disney, so little reason to cross over.
At least from the look of this, the quality is more in line with their Potter offerings and WDW. If thus pans out, it will certainly be worth a look.

First look at Isle of Berk. This looks incredible! Great stuff for the kids. We really enjoyed the HTTYD movie, at least the first one.
They're supposed to be releasing videos all along now for the other lands. IF they are all like this, then wow!! Can't wait to see what's coming!!
I even wore my brand new Epic Universe shirt to work today!

I like it.....some parts are on the lower scale, like a Six Flags. But the overall look and feel is good to me. The Park is going to be a huge hit and blow to Disney.
Epic Park will have four new coasters.....That is pretty impressive to add all at once.

Just watched a new video from Theme Park Stop, they follow along with the construction updates. Starfall Racers coaster looks insan! It took me 2 years, and 3 trips to finally get on Velocicoaster, but now I love it. Did front row last trip! It took over 20 years to try the Hulk, but after VC, Hulk is nothing. I'm not a huge coaster person, but do enjoy certain ones. .
The Monsters coaster looks tamer, but the ride vehicles look like they spin all the way around. I don't know about that. I think Guardians is such an innovative and fun coaster experience at Disney, just incredible, but it can really make me queasy sometimes. Last trip, both times riding really got to me, so idk about coasters w spins.
I am most excited about the new HP area. While I didn't really enjoy the last Fantastic beast movie that much, especially how they wrapped it all up, I did really enjoy the first one, and as long as it's a great attraction and immersive land it can still be fun. Like Pandora. I don't care at all for Avatar, haven't even seen the 2nd one, only saw the first one once (and a half when kids watched,) but Pandora and FoP are wonderful.

My current Universal AP expires mid April. I'm tempted to renew it in anticipation of AP preview of new land next year, especially if there are any "3 months free" or similar extensions available for renewal. I'll stop by the AP lounge while I'm there next week to ask if anything has been released yet for how passes might be adjusted when the new land opens. I haven't seen anything, but I also have not looked very hard.

Ha, and as a non-coaster person Dragonland did absolutely nothing for me. Agreed that many will indeed enjoy such, though.
Still hopeful on Nintendo and Harry and especially any unique restaurant/entertainment offerings.
As always, we shall see…

Hi MinnieMom I just renewed 2 Universal 2 Park Premiere APs and price for 2 ( no blockout dates) …was cheaper than 1 WDW AP renewal rate.
Think about that …2 Passes Universal Orlando Florida cheaper than one WDW.
And I had accidentally jumped on the 15 month offer before my renewal 15% discount . I called yesterday and they actually refunded the difference on my credit card to correct my mistake! A non refundable Fine Print was cheerfully offered over the phone .
Plus the Express Pass offered after 4 p.m. Early morn entrance hour and one free ticket for Halloween Horror Nights … I think UO is losing money but they are building a huge loyalty local crowd to prepare for financial survival with new theme parks and resorts !
I already made hotel reservations for the Open !
Do not delay if you are interested in the 3 extra month offer .
