Any chance that the old “new posts” button will be added? That was the easy way to see new posts. Still looking for a something that feels comparable to that “New Posts” button. What was mentioned does indeed accomplish the same but there is something about being able to see you have however many threads to catch up on since your last visit. And the dulling of the colors once clicked. All dull, all caught up. At the top there is a new posts button for participated threads. New threads and new posts for the entire site are at the bottom |

Brian5581Red arrow at the top will take you to your participated posts and will have new next to it when new posts you've been a part of have been made. Teal arrow are links for all new threads and all new posts. I cannot make them buttons but it works the same as one with a link.

And thankful to those MO peeps who made it happen. Okay, now where did that preview button go? If you use Reply or the Quote buttons you’ll see a Preview button (bottom left for me, may be elsewhere for you). The Quick Reply doesn’t have one - yet. Not saying it will, but we now have a nice Multi Quote button which certainly wasn’t there yesterday. helenabear, Wiltony and the other Admins are busy adding features all over the place. 😊 Just don’t ask me anything complicated! 🤣🤣 |

If you click on the Profile tab at the top and then the “Edit Profile” button you can customise what you want notifications for, when and how - including emails. |

Can I suggest something to everyone?
Since so many people are posting in here, the MO site is looking somewhat deserted, albeit for a few hours. I’m sure there are people who would like time to retrieve things like their trip reports, PMs etc. And we are still using it for admin type things here, like updating post counts and so on. The chances of MO staying up decreases if it seems no one is using it, we really have no idea if we have days, weeks or longer.
So some posting there too would probably be a good idea for the time being.

With this in mind Y’all - I remember reading about someone’s son ( I believe) got married at “Vero Beach” on mouseowners… Can someone point me in the right direction to search before the sight goes down- if things go as planned well it maybe a great location for DS1 to consider…They want to elope to DisneySea. You are not the only one. This has been incredibly hard for me. I drug my feet reopening as long as I could. I love the old forum but I love you all too and don't want to lose people too Thank you to everyone who has put in the time and effort to initially (2 years ago?) and now formally get the new site up and running. It is hard I think for most of the regulars (and us primarily lurkers) to leave behind the old site but with no moderators watching it for many months now, it's time. I can't help but wonder how many posts are sitting in limbo (at least one of mine) because some forums on the old site are set to require admin/moderator approval and there's no one watching and approving any longer.  I don't even remember what I posted but it was a question related to planning our trip last summer and I ended up just posting to a forum that was somewhat close in topic but that didn't require admin approval. Speaking of which, will we have any such boards on this site where admin approval will be required beyond the trade/rental boards (if and when the admins decide whether to fully take the plunge with those)? If so, any chance that can be indicated in the board title/description so we know our post should eventually show up or that we'll be told why it was declined? |

Year and a half ago per logs  I did make sure before making the move that this was the right thing. Fortunately we could resurrect what I deleted and pick up where we left off. I know tons of posts were in limbo. I did the same as you. Posted elsewhere to avoid approval. Right now the rent/trade board is the only ones that will require approval. I am leaving that page to others to run so it will be up to them how to run it. I do have a quarantine option currently set up so you can see your posts there just waiting. For the other pages I see no need at the moment. |

That was the easy way to see new posts. New posts are found at the bottom of the main page with a link. No button needed. It's a standard feature of the forum   Thanks for adding the New Posts button. That was my first stop when I logged on. New question: Within each thread, is there a "View First Unread" option or is that Recent Posts? Nothing jumped out at me at the thread level but, after New Posts, that was my next favorite option. Thanks again to you and everyone involved with this migration!!! |
