I didn’t “click” to read… But they’re pretty good at creating Titles that sound authentic…
No matter what Disney would announce , there will be lots of opinions for & against.
I agree No 5th park ever… 4 is enough and Disney can not even maintain that !
The only reason I am happy about Epic U… it will lower crowds at Universal & Adventure and the MK… !

I don't see the argument that Universal is building a new gate so Disney needs a new gate, by my count this will be three for Universal so Disney still has one more gate than Universal. Also, with the exception of the Harry Potter stuff, the quality of attractions at Disney far exceeds Universal in terms of ride mechanics and theming. Maybe Universal's new gate will be higher quality than the rest of their stuff. If so, that could put pressure on Disney. If it's same old same old, I think not as likely.
Cheers.

The new park will be better than the previous Universal Parks in Orlando. They are certainly modeling the Park after MK with the lands. Will it be better than Star Wars or Pandora, I doubt it. But I do think it will be on par with Toy Story land and the MK Fantasyland Expansion.

But I do think it will be on par with Toy Story land and the MK Fantasyland Expansion. Brian, Bill and I will check this out. Not sure any of us will ride anything, but we are all very curious. The one resort looks amazing. I would really like to go back and ride the Harry Potter rides in Universal, but we probably won’t do it until Bill retires. But, who knows. When we went with my brother and family, no one wanted to ride anything…it was a very strange visit with them. At one point, their City Walk was better, but now I think Springs is better and Disney did up their game on Springs. But, there are still some great places to eat on City Walk. My kids have gone there for some shows in the last year or two. For me, it’s I-4 and paying for parking that keeps us away from City Walk and until we are both retired there is already enough to keep us busy locally & with Disney. It will be pretty easy to get there though from Disney when it opens so we’ll probably stay at Disney and go there. Some of the survey questions ask where we go when we are staying on Disney property which I find interesting.

Universal definitely upped their game with Potter and I was very impressed with the theming. I actually did not like the Hogwarts ride because of the motion, but that's just my preference. I went through again, slowly, just to look at the theming in detail and then bailed. It was very good. And very much enjoyed Gringotts.
Cheers.

We rode GOTG the other day and I didn't think of it before but that ride track would make a perfect Fast and Furious Tokyo Drift ride for Universal, the motion of the ride cars is almost exactly what a drifting car would feel like.

GOTG is one of my favorite rides right now, and anything more like that would be great. ANYTHING at all they do to replace that current Fast/Furious experience would be great. What an awful attraction. Univeral has also been wasting its own space for a long time now. Lots of large venues have sat empty now for a long time. We're curious what they might do with the Simpsons area, if it truly is going away. We're also all hoping they put Zelda in the old Poseidon's Fury. I played the old Zelda with my oldest almost 30 years ago, and last year , played Zelda Breath/Wild with my youngest, so Zelda would be super fun. Universal also just did away with a lot of their street entertainment, Before that, I would've lauded them for keeping up the streetmosphere that Disney got rid of. Their meet/greets are still unique and fun though. We can't wait for Epic. ALL of it. But especially the new HP land. I"m sure it's going to be as awesome as the current ones. 5th gate would be awesome! but I think it would be 15-20 years at least for that to happen. Probably 5 years at least to get the new land at AK

Probably 5 years at least to get the new land at AK Let's not forget it was a mere four years to tear out the Fountain of Nations at Epcot Center and replace it with trees and park benches! Tee hee hee!

Every year when we get a nice fresh snow, I find a semi-abandoned parking lot at a shuttered business and go crazy trying to master parking-brake turns. It can very much feel like that. One year there was glare ice followed by 3" of snow - fun times. One year I got good snow tires - not fun times. The car would just straighten itself out nearly instantly. Ruined my fun.

I would love to see a fifth gate and stop adding kiddie rides in epcot. Even when my kids were young I did not feel epcot was the place for those rides. I like maelstrom over frozen, wish ratatouille never went into France. But I know I am in the minority. Would rather see them do more with HS and a fifth gate and stop messing with epcot. HS has nothing unless you like star wars

HS has nothing unless you like star wars Or Slinky Dog, or RnR coaster or TSM. There really is a fair bit there, although there could be more with the space.
Cheers.
