Not knowing Snoopy? I mean i get Dean Martin and Frank Sinatra somewhat. My kid and I have had conversations about who was the better musician too but he's into music a lot. I could see his friends not knowing them or other ones like that. But Snoopy? I'm a little sad. Speaking of The Chairman, the great Quincy Jones, who worked with Sinatra among many, many MANY others (including producing the top selling album of all time), passed away at the age of 91. Cheers. I saw that about Quincy Not knowing Snoopy? I mean i get Dean Martin and Frank Sinatra somewhat. My kid and I have had conversations about who was the better musician too but he's into music a lot. I could see his friends not knowing them or other ones like that. But Snoopy? I'm a little sad. Oh sorry, I wasn't clear. Our cutouts are only the kids in their trick-or-treat costumes (we have six of them: Charlie, PigPen, Lucy in the witch hat, whoever is in the coonskin cap, etc.). So when the kid came along as Snoopy, I was saying he fits right in with them. Hopefully he knew who HE was as Snoopy, but he clearly didn't recognize that our cutouts were the Peanuts kids from the same franchise. In my head I understood what you said and how I typed it out probably didn't make as much sense. I was thinking how could you not know Snoopy with the gang? Yes Snoopy had his own adventures, but I can't imagine someone not understanding the Peanut gang having a connection to Snoopy.

Snoopy ... He had NO IDEA what I was talking about. I bet his parents have given him Snoopy toys because they probably love Snoopy from their childhood. I bet he knows who Woodstock is. I was at Kohl's a couple months ago and they had some cute Snoopy and Woodstock toys that caught my eye. When I was driving bus, I tried to connect with one of the 13-year-olds because I noticed she had a Bob Marley shirt on one day. I commented on it, she looked down for a minute, then shrugged and admitted she didn't know who that was, her mom bought it.

My mother says "Krogers" and when she does, I ask her, "Did you go to more than one?" My most recent word pet peeve is the misuse of yourself/myself, as in, "Tom and myself are headed to Epcot today." Nails on a chalkboard. For me, one I see here very often, is the use of "I" instead of "me" in the direct object. "That was the best option for my wife and I." Ahhhhhhh!!!!
"Your" instead of "you're" and apostrophe's on plural's are common here as well.
Cheers.
Oh - pet peeve "I" instead of "me". And its everywhere - especially in places that should be edited. Grrrr

Ongoing project - I need to replace front door. Old one is fighting me to come out. It's from 1957 so it should pop right out but somebody in the last 20 years or so took the trim off and spray-foamed around the door frame, which had the effect of gluing it in. I mean, the door seal leaked like a sieve (and the door itself) so I'm not sure what gains they hoped to get from the spray foam, a good "caulk and paint" around the trim would have been fine. But anyways. Wife is off today, and true to Wife form, she decides to randomly lay down for a nap after lunch. "You can keep working, I'm good" she says. I don't think she's going to sleep through sawzalls and pounding and prying and door slamming and more sawzall action, and then she will just be crabby. And I get so sick of trying to work quiet, so I took a break. Now it has been over two hours and it is dark outsite so I'm shuttin' 'er down for the day. I tell her all the time, I can't get anything done when you are home - we are either watching something, or I'm cooking something for us, or we are going out, or she's napping or whatever. So - Monday, Monday she's back at work.
Actually I heard talk of her going to her sister's for some football game at noon tomorrow. That oughtta work.

We won playoff game #2 *sigh* we want to be all excited but dang it's getting cold.

Last night we watched a bit of a youtube guy go to one of the MK Christmas parties. The date was 11/8, Friday. I'm assuming he entered the park on his AP but I don't know what time, I'm going to assume sometime in the afternoon. He showed a shot of the Christmas tree and that area, he was up on the train station platform...I commented "Friggin ghost town! Why can't it ever be like that when we go." Every shot of the parks was quiet.
I guess we have had some success going to MK on party days, but I would never call it "ghost town" level of quiet. It's been years since I had much success, despite my best efforts trying to plan around traditional less-busy times at WDW. Maybe early November is what I should try next year.

We returned from our latest cruise sandwich on Thursday. I flew without incident this time - yeah!! I did suck down Smartwater and water with lemon/lime IV fusion. Every time DH thought I might fall asleep he started talking to me. We were both nervous but it worked out. Now we can just relax and enjoy our December trip and Spring's cruise sandwich. It is a good thing we booked two similar cruise itineraries because LT was hysterical and CC the ship could never dock so basically 4 days of drinking. LOL

We won playoff game #1. Heading off to #2 next week. I may or may not chaperone that one. Kid is declining it due to musical auditions the next week. I think we probably will not advance after next week. Congratulations on the victory! helenabear Big college game today. Undefeated Penn State plays Ohio State! May the odds be ever in your favor…… Sorry about the Penn State loss, Hope. Ouch. My guys are both out today, so I've had the opposite - I did a lot myself, which is always nice. [ Congratulations on the victory! Presumably there can only be another game or two now, ha. December 5-7 would be state finals depending on division. We have regional semi-finals this weekend which we are going to (last weekend was regional quarter finals). I assume we'll lose as we're only like #23 in the state in our division. But if not there are Regional Finals after. Then state semi-finals and then state finals. I don't think we'll go too long though lol I'm proud of the kids in football and all the cheer and band who support them, but we get tired

Was watching a thing and saw PizzaRizzo in the background. I caught something that made me laugh! The painted writing in the window says: OVEN "FRESH" I laughed! That's good stuff. See, it's like air quotes around the "fresh". People poop on PizzaRizzo all the time. Does it have good pizza? Not necessarily. Do I care? No. They have some fun things to eat that I don't get in normal life, and the decor is filled with so many gags that it is one of my favorite places to go.
If you haven't seen the neon sign above the building that says "The city's top rated pizza" you owe it to yourself to stare at it for a minute.

If you haven't seen the neon sign above the building that says "The city's top rated pizza" you owe it to yourself to stare at it for a minute. When my kids were young, lunch at Pizza Planet was a must. We had one picky eater and he liked the pizza there. We always say upstairs and it was always empty up there. The upstairs bathroom was off the beaten path, so it was always clean. The pizza was typical WDW fast food pizza, similar, if not the same, as PVH and Pizzafari. It was fine, not good or bad, but satisfactory. We've not been to Pizza Rizzo, since that picky child is now 23 and doesn't go to WDW with us. Living in the northeast, where there are lots of good to great pizzerias, I don't eat pizza in WDW frequently. Also, DW and DD, my usual WDW trip mates, are not big pizza eaters, so we have even less of a reason to eat WDW pizza.

Lately, we've been going because my wife wants the salad they've got. So I find something, usually some sandwich. I don't expect greatness, but I do wonder why the pizza isn't better there. Actually I think I had some and I said "the middle 50% of it is good, then it's like three inches of crust" so I skip that part. Which makes the "pizza" part of it just a little thing. But like you, upstairs is the bomb. Then after, I like to go around and check out the artwork and the signs and stuff. They have these cork boards with advertisements pinned up to them.

There is definitely better pizza than Disney to be had just about anywhere...even California
We did get pizza a couple of years back at Pizza Press in Celebration and that was very good. But, as you, we don't each pizza much at Disney. Just no reason to do so.
Cheers.
