If you thought getting ADRs at WDW is bad, I just tried to make a breakfast reservation at Makahiki in Aulani. Reservations open at midnight 30 days in advance. For the morning I wanted (which is 30 days out), they were all booked except for a single table for 2 at 10:45AM. I have 7 in my party so that won't work. Per the cast member, all times usually book up within 30 minutes. That would mean I would have had to wake up at 2AM to make these reservations. No thanks. I'll go somewhere else.

Was it for the weekend? Weekends are especially tough. You may want to stop by the desk when you arrive to see if there any cancellations.

Go to Monkey Pod across the street. We had lunch there a few days ago and it was very nice...and more reasonable than the Disney options (no surprise there).

Go to Monkey Pod across the street. We had lunch there a few days ago and it was very nice...and more reasonable than the Disney options (no surprise there). Cheers. We like Monkey Pod and usually hit up up at happy hour. Makahiki was going to be our group breakfast before heading to the airport. There are plenty of breakfast places, but we really enjoyed the Makahiki breakfast when we were there last year. In fact, IMO, it is much better after they switched it from buffet to a 3-course breakfast. |

We were just there in October. I had luck going to the restaurant the evening before and talking to the ladies at the hostess stand. I was able to schedule breakfast the next morning both times. I had zero luck on the app like you are experiencing. They told me the app wasn't very reliable at displaying open reservation times. |
