Disney Vacation Club later confirmed the perk, providing a brief list of terms and conditions with additional details promised at a later date: - This benefit is exclusive to registered Members and Guests staying at a Disney Vacation Club Resort or Disney Resort hotel with a check-in date from January 1, 2025 through December 31, 2025. Usage of this benefit is subject to availability. - At this time, a park reservation is not required to visit a water park; however, reservation requirements are subject to change.
- Water parks are subject to extended rehabilitation, seasonal, capacity and weather closures, or may close for other reasons.
- Each of our water parks is refurbished annually. These routine maintenance periods are staggered, so our Guests should be able to enjoy at least one water park experience year-round.
- Water park admission is nontransferable, nonrefundable and has no cash value, and excludes activities/events separately priced or not open to the general public.
- Parks, attractions and other offerings subject to availability, closures and change or cancellation without notice or liability. No refund or credit given for any such changes or cancellation. Park admission and offerings are not guaranteed.
It is not immediately clear how if DVC split stays would be treated any differently. In the past, split stays--with a guest changing hotels or rooms midway through a visit--were treated as entirely separate visits. Happy to see this perk being offered. We don't normally arrive until mid-day or later so this gives us another option besides Disney Springs.

Nice perk.
Because of covid and Disney's over reaction and delayed reaction in opening, the water parks have lagged in attendance. They were closed so long and then opening only one for the past couple years have made people change their park habits. Plus the ticketing and park hopping restrictions have also had a negative impact on water park attendance. With the sky high prices of tickets and park hopping restrictions, why buy the extra ticket add-ons?
This will be a good way to get people back into the water parks.

We have yet to go to a water park, so this would not be for us. But cool for those that can use it. Cheers. You should go....the water parks are actually a lot of fun. I really enjoy the late day and night hours, better than the early park hours. |

In theory (and I say it that way as things have become munged over time), the non-expiring Hopper + Water Park tickets that we bought in 2008 should still have all 10 WP entitlements remaining, in addition to 7 park days.
The tickets have been accidentally used, restored, changed several times over the past years, to these may be lost. Have to check at GS next time we're on site.
We tend to go in the cooler times of year but, even then, evenings can be hot.
The whole "having stuff and getting lockers" thing always seemed inconvenient even though I have no idea how it actually works there

This is a nice perk! We are not waterpark people, but this could convince me to stop by. We are not waterpark people either, but one time the AP was letting us in there free so we went and just wandered around and looked and ate the foods and shopped. Good times. Not related: It was during a cold part of the year and was probably 58-62 degrees that day, and we were two of a total of like 138 visitors that day. The lady at a store asked us where we were from, we said Minnesota, she sounded excited and asked how cold it gets there this time of year? I said "Well the high is supposed to be like -10 today" and she almost passed out. |

I wish they'd address the issue of split stays. I don't see myself being able to get there in enough time to use it on arrival, but if they allowed us to use it on "arrival" day to our second resort, I'd probably go, just to look around. I don't swim, don't even bring a swimsuit to WDW, but I'd love to lay on a chaise lounge and read a book at Blizzarde Beach for a while.

I don't see myself being able to get there in enough time to use it on arrival, but if they allowed us to use it on "arrival" day to our second resort, I'd probably go, just to look around. I don't swim, don't even bring a swimsuit to WDW, but I'd love to lay on a chaise lounge and read a book at Blizzarde Beach for a while. Pure speculation by me, but since each stay is considered independently in their system, I would guess you could go to a waterpark on the first day of any of the stays (every day that you have to check in). In theory, if you changed rooms everyday with each day being booked as a separate stay, I would guess you could go to the waterpark everyday. Since this doesn't start until 2025, there will probably be more clarity as the time approaches. |

I don’t see them specifically coding to exclude them. There is no way in their current systems to identify a split stay, which is why Disney don’t use the term. To Disney they are 2 (or more) separate reservations. |

I am so excited about this!! We have a big family trip planned for SSR in Sept 2025. I hope we are not too tired from traveling to take advantage of this. How late do the water parks stay open?
