It’s been so many years since we’ve been at OKW, I just have a few questions.
If I book near HH what kind of views do those buildings have? I’m a little concerned about being near any busy roads. At this point in life I like quiet, haha. When we were there several years ago we had a golf course view but I don’t think I noted what building that was.
I vaguely recall someone posting once about a nice building, away from HH obviously, where their balcony overlooked the river and they could watch the boats going by. Anyone know what building that would be? Also, are the boats even running to Disney Springs anymore? I feel like since Covid I’m not sure what has come back and what hasn’t.
Our seven month mark is coming up in a few weeks and I’m hoping to get a two bedroom and a studio.
Thanks!

Buildings 45 and 46, our favorites to watch the boats pass by.

The boats are running to Disney Springs.
We were in building 55 one trip and we could watch the boats.

HH buildings are 11-14 and 23-26. Ask for the latter (Peninsula) for the quietest rooms and 1st stop on the bus loop.
A lot of South Point faces lovely areas. Turtle Pond as well.

On a recent stay we were in Building 54. A quiet pool was just a few steps away, as was the Southpoint bus sop. Nice golf course view. Very quiet.

We had a 1BR in the front of Building 41 once and it was perfect - we could watch a lovely fountain from the balcony, but also see the bus stop out the front window.
Whatever you do, stay away from buildings 49 and 50. We were in 50 once and it was the most miserable room we have ever had on Disney property!

Thanks for all the replies. I’ve been looking at a map with all the building numbers and comparing it to the recommendations. I think I’m going to request building 45, 46, or 55.
How do you all put in your requests, and when? I’ve done it a few times through touring plans and it’s never really worked out too well.

I've discovered, just within the last couple trips, that being on the second floor gets you up above and you can see down, which makes it feel 100x less like people are looking down on you. Even a golf-course view can be relaxing. Subjective, of course. But being up higher helps. And the golf shuts down around dinner-time; this probably depends on the time of year.
This last trip, we had family with in various rooms, and we requested them all close together in Turtle Pond. When we landed, the app told me they were all over the place, none in Turtle Pond! We called while driving up from the Tampa airport, a friendly castmember said they'd do their best to get them all put relatively close in Turtle Pond as long as nobody had to be on the ground floor. It all worked out, we just had to wait a little longer. I originally did our requests when I did the online checking thing, as I recall.

On our last trip (split stay, at BWV) the only request we made was for an upper floor. Really wanted a balcony, not a patio.
We didn't have a number by 10 or so, when we checked out of our BCV room to hang at Stormalong Bay for the day. But I drove over anyway, figuring I would leave luggage at Bell Services and see if I could get an approximate time.
Went to the front desk. A CM tapped his iPad a couple times and said he could give me a room on the 2nd floor immediately. Perfect! OR, he said. I could wait for the room I was assigned, which was being cleaned. That room was....on the 1st floor. Despite our initial request.
It all worked out - faith, trust, pixie dust and all that. A little kindness and patience can go a long way. And pity the poor CMs who have to play room assignment tetris behind the scenes!
