The new DVC center opened at Disney Springs this week. The new center is called Gateway to Discovery, located in the former Alex & Ani store. On the second floor of the store, DVC will be adding a members lounge, to open by May. This members lounge is not the additional lounge announced in January, which will be located in a Park. Anyway, if you are in Disney Springs you can stop by the new sales center and take a break in the new lounge when it opens.

I popped in there the other day, totally unaware of what it is, it had opened the day before, and there was no one in there but me and the CMs. They had some really cute Chip and Dale cabin buttons. I asked the CMs about a lounge coming there, and they had not even heard the rumor.

They do know that something is happening "upstairs" in that building, but they don't know what. I would think they would be required to have an elevator for it to be a member lounge. I loved that huge Mickey in there, just wonder how long before it has nicks in the paint from kids/people crawling all over it.

Fun! Here's hoping the lounge is ready by my early April trip. That's likely far too soon but I'll plan to duck in and check it out just in case.

We rarely go to Disney Springs anymore, but if we find our way over there on our July trip, we'll check it out!
