We are heading off to DL for May the Fourth this year, unfortunately not on property, but we got a good rate at Home2Suites. Going with our friends to celebrate their sons 18th and my 50th.
Are they giving tours of the new DVC property there? And if so, do we need to register? I couldn't find any info.

I know they have a couple of model rooms. The last couple of times I was there, there was a team in the lobby. I would assume you could just show up in the lobby during typical “business hours” and one of them would give you a tour and the schpiel.

Thank you. I may pop in then, just out of curiosity.

I hope they provide strong perks for spending time with timeshare salesweasels. Something of value to be worth the time.
Cheers.

When we took the tour in February, we got free Dole Whips at Tangaroa Terrance. Actually, we met the guide at the new lounge in DL and we scheduled a time for the next day. He brought us over from the GCV where we were staying (GCV owners). We met at the DVC office in the GCV. But there were guides in the lobby for any walk-ups. They show you a 2-bedroom that is in a prime location facing DCA and DL. I really liked the rooms, the lobby and outdoor spaces (including the new restaurant outside). I don't like the TAT tax and how many of the rooms don't have balconies. Unfortunately, I already have 250 points at the GCV and couldn't justify buying more (Addonitis! The struggle is real!)

We stayed at Home2Suites and were happy with it but skip the free breakfast. You get what you pay for.

At the end of the day, like it or not, their job is sales. But, as most of us know, DVC sales is nothing like the typical timeshare presentation.

I took the DVC tour at DL few months ago. The layout of the villas are very efficient, decor is very nice. I think the lobby location is a bit hidden hard to find. I walked from Downtown Disney. Maybe there's a 'real' main entrance but the rep did not show me.
