Looking at park hours, DHS has a "Special Ticketed Event" on May 5th from 9pm-1am. Anyone know what this is? FOMO!  |

May 4 is a Saturday … Why-is May the 4 th a big deal nowadays anyway ?
It was cute for a year or two.
Or when they had Hyper Space Hoopla Weekends during May .

The private event May 5th at DHS is a Celebration Party for The Summit 2024 Championship, a cheerleading competition taking place between May 2 and 5 at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex.

It celebrates the Mexican victory at the Battle of Puebla against the French. It really wasn’t a popular day until the 1980’s when U.S. advertising made it popular. It still isn’t popular in Mexico. Many Americans confuse it with Mexican Independence Day which, of course, is on September 16. |

Ah yes. I was too busy thinking about Star Wars people. People will be in for the whole week for Star Wars, not just one day.

It celebrates the Mexican victory at the Battle of Puebla against the French. It really wasn’t a popular day until the 1980’s when U.S. advertising made it popular. It still isn’t popular in Mexico. Many Americans confuse it with Mexican Independence Day which, of course, is on September 16. Kind of like St Patrick's Day......We all celebrate it, but 99% of people in the US have know idea what it really is celebrating.
