dlwdwdvc and helenabear - Fort Wilderness is great! It is not a fit for many DVC / MO owners, but that's nothing against the campground. Instead, I see it as a compliment to WDW for having such a strong array of options for guests to enjoy. And yet, I still don't think the math makes buying CFW a good choice. I could be wrong. Time will tell, either way. And either way, I'll still happily continue camping at the Fort! I get the campground. Like I said our first trip was there. I have fond memories to the point I love going back to visit. It is nice for the campers, but that part of my life is long done. Kid and spouse may still camp but we are not the ones to do it together. Many love it and I get it. I got overkill myself growing up doing it. Buy a camper and dang it you always camp! Agreed on the buying. People will stay likely. They just won't buy. I also just assumed more cabins were going to be completed hence an increase in declarations. Under 10% to start was low IMO.

I just cant get excited over anything about these cabins. I am at a point in my life that any accommodations are never going to be at a campsite, not even in an RV.
Would my grandkids like it? Probably. But too much work getting around. Monorail and busses have spoiled me.

Well it is really a nice day and not crowded and very peaceful at the Fort today.
I am trying to understand Why the old cabins have brand new curtains on all doors and windows…new shower curtains …and the new Hello Mickey desktop guest service toy . Why spend money to demolish them .
I thought I could count all the new cabins … There's a lot of construction going on Keep circling around and around just to check out . Can not take any pictures Felony warning signs everywhere. There are 2 near the Hoop de Doo Building , exterior look kinda closest to completion and Cast discussing as they are gathered in front of one of the Cabins. I am wondering if they will be the Open for Tour Cabins.
Would you consider taking a Tour to check them out Or is everybody saying No Thank You? Don’t you wonder about the next Phase after the cabins are completed? Got to be more in their future plans…

The entire cabins are brand new. The old ones were removed and replaced. They are modular buildings, so they have an "end date" to them.
I saw a felony sign at WL on the pathway going towards the Ft Wilderness pathway that was being redone. Made me chuckle.

Wait, what? Disney is posting felony signs about taking pictures?
Surely I misunderstood. That just seems way weird.

Now see, even seeing that sign makes me sad about Disney. Not what it says but how it looks. Everything Disney use to be clean and pristine back in the not too long ago past. Now days, faded and peeling. They just don’t take care of their stuff like they use to.

You are brave I worried taking a picture of the sign would get me in trouble. But there is security to enforce the rules. Otherwise it would be dangerous perhaps for construction workers , if we were interfering to take pictures without a Warning posted. Most of the signs I saw posted look New . If that is important .

You are free to take pictures from outside the designated area. The law is for trespassing in area designated as a construction site.
(d) The offender commits a felony of the third degree, punishable as provided in s. 775.082, s. 775.083, or s. 775.084, if the property trespassed is a construction site that is:
1. Greater than 1 acre in area and is legally posted and identified in substantially the following manner: “THIS AREA IS A DESIGNATED CONSTRUCTION SITE, AND ANYONE WHO TRESPASSES ON THIS PROPERTY COMMITS A FELONY.”; or
A third degree felony is the least serious of the felony classifications where the maximum time you can be sentenced to state prison is five years and/or pay a fine up to $5,000.

The path always had vegetation there too since it was edge of WL going to FtW. Pretty sure storms had knocked the sign over. I didn't tresspass to get the pic though. Just zoomed in and stayed beyond where the fencing was or should have been.

Right. Taking pictures is not a violation. Trespassing is. Very different.
Cheers.

"This area is a designated construction site and anyone who trespasses on this property commits a felony."
Cool. Thanks for posting that pic to clarify. That is a standard construction notice. Posting it is very likely a insurance requirement. We have a different variation of it posted at our construction site. There's nothing there to prevent photos taken from outside the construction site. In fact, I would venture a guess such photos may be subtly encouraged.

The second part of the sign, "THIS MEANS YOU, BLOGGER/VLOGGER!!" has mysteriously disappeared.

I agree that this is for liability as well as slightly encouraging to have up for people to share. Though I've tried to find updates on this path and no one is posting. I need more spies though I'm back in a few weeks. "This area is a designated construction site and anyone who trespasses on this property commits a felony." The second part of the sign, "THIS MEANS YOU, BLOGGER/VLOGGER!!" has mysteriously disappeared. I'm not one of those but I gotta say it was a bit tempting LOL

I’ll end my thoughts with a sad farewell today . I had a lot of fun on my trip and will miss the old But the new looks encouraging . I already have plans for Thanksgiving Thankfully. I wish everybody had the chance to visit before DVC enters property. I guess Chip n Dale are safe and will still be Welcome . The Hokey Pokey dance with Chip n Dale before the Movie at the Fort is just too much fun and everybody joins in for roasting those marshmallows and making s’mores . And then enjoy the Water Pageant and the fireworks . That’s just half of the fun at the Fort!
