There are just too many vloggers these days. Trying to get clicks by covering a new cupcake. I notice them at the parks too, walking and talking to their camera. It's even more annoying in person.
We haven't had APs in ages and tend to mix up our trips. I have been renting out points and using them for bigger rooms/more expensive seasons. No immediate plans to sell but its certainly on the table in the next few years.

I love it when we talk about click bait blogs! So I fired up the ol' google machine on my phone and scrolled down until I found the latest - "Disney World Officially Cuts 35-Year-Old Theme Park" and shows a picture of the Hollywood Tower. lol. Followed right behind it (same site) "Disney Officially Removes Frontierland from Magic Kingdom" mm hmm. Another site was wanting to tell me about how much they LOVE this Disney World parade change! And don't miss this amazing new EXCLUSIVE Passholder perk coming to Epcot! lol!
For sure, blogs on the internet used to be a place where somebody could tell others about things (at disney or whatever) or have useful reviews about what's on the menu at restaurants. Now it's just "click here so I can make money"

I think these people are just begging to get on the Disney media list so they can get invited to exclusive events.

Fortunately or Unfortunately, I still get excited about going to Walt Disney World. My DW and I went a couple of times back in the 90s and then we have gone multiple times since our grandchildren were little. They are young adults now and have graduated from college. But it seems we all still enjoy going but doing different things while we are there.
I do agree with the following statement: "In addition to feeling nickel and dimed to death, with all the changes post-Fastpass, the crowds are getting harder to navigate. It's become too much work."
Planning a trip used to be much easier than it is today and the costs of food, tickets, etc. have skyrocketed. But I still get excited as it seems like the little kid in me just comes out when I enter The Magic Kingdom or Animal Kingdom and I am 76 years old or young. I also enjoy looking at videos on youtube of WDW.

If I'm in google news, if that happens too many times, I click the little menu for that article and say "never show me articles from this source." I know it doesn't do much in the grand scheme of things, but a part of me hopes they see it and know that I purposefully am avoiding their site because of their crappy clickbait headlines.

I wish this post was a survey; "If you are bored with WDW, on average how many days do you spend on property annually?" There is such a thing as too much of a good thing! For my "one trip a year" family, I don't see us tiring of WDW anytime soon.

I practically ignore all vloggers and bloggers now. Sometimes I look at food pics for stupid allergy reasons (I can sometimes see when it's there and I have to avoid). They really are tedious in the parks. Stupid cameras out all the time. Saw one in the monorail being an obnoxious braggart. Others getting in the way of rides with cameras. I wish they didn't have the audiences that they do.
We do parks differently now. Some me, some my kid. We are enjoying F&GF more so this might be our yearly trek as time goes on.

We share brain cells. I've never watched a vlog, never read a wdw blog other than DFB 1-2 times years ago; the writing was bad, their basic knowledge of food/cooking was terrible. If something in wdw is new, I don't need to know everything about it months before our trip. I think that sucks the fun out of new experiences. In January, we met a tiktok guy, I was oblivious, he was just a guy waiting in line like us. Then I saw the phone come out, and the livestream, etc. It was like he changed personalities from nice guy to ridiculous, over the top, melodramatic. A few days after we got home, his tiktoks started showing up in my feed. Had to block him. What does all of this have to do with the "losing interest" topic? I think in general, people are surrounded by too much wdw social media, in and out of the parks. It's overkill.

I get this as well, even though we're not there either. I don't look at any vlogs, blogs, etc., except here because, well, I don't give a shit what people I don't know think (I feel I know all y'all ). I can form my own opinions, thank you. And some of the sentiments here, I get. It has changed. The solution for us is simple: we change, too, and adapt. It still works for us. But I can see how folks who want what it was would not be as happy. We also do a lot of other travel (in NoLA for 12 days now for Jazz Fest before heading home for a week and heading to WDW), and we like that as well. But WDW is a different thing and a good compliment for us. Everything I've seen here I can relate too. It just doesn't bother us as much as some. An ultimate YMMV situation. Cheers.

Gawd I hate this SO MUCH. If I'm in google news, if that happens too many times, I click the little menu for that article and say "never show me articles from this source." I HAVE done that on youtube for a Disney guy, but for some reason I haven't done it yet with this particular one on google news. I may do that - the guy has gotten so bad that it tends to get me riled up even though I don't click on the article. "Disney finally reveals the fate of THIS beloved attraction" and it turns out that they painted the queue railings a new color or something.

After my post, I saw someone point out a vlogger clip that actively suggested gate crashing just to get in a pool. Not only are their cameras getting in my way, they're also saying to steal pool spots from paying guests. Entitlement is at its greatest it feels like.

a vlogger clip that actively suggested gate crashing just to get in a pool. Nice. Real nice. If "gate crashing" means following someone through a locked gate, I did this once to get into the DVC pool at Poly like half-dozen years ago....I wanted to eat at the snack shack there. I felt a little guilty but I figured ~I~ was DVC, the place was totally empty, and I just wanted to try their fish tacos. Which were pretty good! Then I left. Again, the place was totally empty except for a small handful of people. The fish taco guy was staring at me as I wondered how to get in. Maybe they could smell the OKW on me. But I was wearing a hawaiian shirt!

We are still feeling the magic, but our trips certainly have changed. We used to be a weeklong trip every year. We are now shorter trips spread out. We are still using our DVC, but we are not typically doing the 4 main parks every day, and have started doing water parks, checking out hotels, and eating around Disney Springs. I do not see myself tiring of it, the rest of my family maybe.
We are also doing different types of trips. We are heading to Europe in June, but will get a little Disney fix with 2 nights at DLP. 😊

I hear ya on this one. There have been years where we skipped WDW and used our points to upgrade to a larger room at HHI. Such a chill vacation with that Disney specialness without all the rushing around. My kiddos love it there.
