An interesting fact.....Magic Kingdom attendance is still lower than every year after 2012. This made me stop and think...a sobering moment. Like you pointed out, it sure doesn't SEEM like attendance is lower.

Some of the Disney bloggers and youTubers are better than others. I still very much enjoy Tom Brickner's blogs and Molly on youTube. eandjmom, thanks for the post on HHI. That's only 3 hours from us instead of the 8 to WDW. I'll have to ask DH and DD if they might be more interested in doing a long weekend there on points as an alternative. Oddly enough, even when we lived in Savannah we never made time to go check out HHI. We absolutely love HHI!! The cast members are wonderful and its fun venturing out to different places for dinner. I hope you find the time to enjoy!

We still enjoy Disney - we go a few times a year but usually around 4 nights. It seems we try to do our favorites, then something new. And with shorter trips adding something new will take us quite a while! For example we had actually never gone to a Cirque show and just did that last trip. We do find less "pressure" to do attractions. So I will spend a bit more time in line for something I enjoy. No forced march through Disney anymore!

We do find less "pressure" to do attractions. So I will spend a bit more time in line for something I enjoy. No forced march through Disney anymore! This very much describes us. All our trips are this length (this is not a "shorter" trip for us but the only length we would consider, i.e. normal). There are a few things we really want to do (FoP, RotR), but not really "must do" anymore. Soarin' is the only thing we are sure to do, and it's always easy to find a short wait time. And with the brief California revival over, it's less important.
But we are not as ride-focused. If there's a shortish line, we'll do it. We do like to rope drop since we're morning people, but we may run instead and wander in later.
Then we take the Skyliner to nowhere, or maybe stop somewhere. Walk around the lake between AoA and Pop Century. Stuff like that.
Still a magical place to be when exploring.
Cheers.

Almost all of WDW trips are 2-4 days in length. The lone exception is our annual Christmas-NYE trip. This year, our July 4th trip is 5 days just because where the holiday falls in the week.

Still enjoyable for me. Of course even visiting almost weekly now I do fewer rides in a year than many do in a day or two.
As always, definitely lacking the whining/complaining children and/or spouse helps immensely…
