Renters

I have never stopped renting. I have always found it easy to rent my DVC points. You just need to post in the right locations. Also, I am reasonable in my pricing....not a low ball renter, I just don't shoot for $25 pp.

My BCV points are always rented. My BLT points also rent easily, but not as quickly as the BCV ones. I also don't try to get $25pp and I sometimes use the online brokers when I want to quickly offload points and not deal with it (and still get $18pp). 

I don’t actively rent. I have more points at this point that we can use. Though I’m not ready to get rid of any, yet. I have long, long time renters. So I get contacted by them out of nowhere and will be ased any points available for and we want these dates. He also has referred a couple of friends. Makes it easy as I’m not dealing with a complete stranger, they trust me, I trust them and all is good. I have another family, that it’s the same. If they are looking for a trip they contact me, if they have a friend, they will refer me. These are established relationships through the years. I haven’t seen a decrease but again I’m not on the rent boards in the past few years. Just when I think I may have to, because I have how many left with more coming in… I usually get a text, from a regular asking to rent. As others have said, I don’t gauge people trying to get $25 p/pt. I think that’s where resale point rental places are, but they give the flexibility for the renters to make payments etc. I also don’t use resale places. I’m doing the work, making the reservations, I want my payment and not in a payment plan.
Never say never I maybe would if they were distressed soon to be loss. But haven’t in 20 yrs found the need.
And I actually love helping, giving tips ‘playing’ travel agent to those who were going for the first time.
At some point in my life I really wanted to become a travel agent. Found it exciting and fascinating.
